Awesome video mate. Very much appreciated. Locations have changed but still recognizable. Love the Then & Now pics. It is in the Top 10 movies of all time. Legendary. I am glad to say that i share my birthday 2nd May ( But different year, 66) with the 1st day of filming for Jaws on May 2nd 1974. Still watch it now. Huge Thnx to Steven Spielberg, Zanuk & Brown & all cast & crew & Martha's Vineyard locals for the making of this classic movie. Bruce Rulz. At least i have piece of Orca 2(Resinkable Orca) in my hardcover Memories from Martha's Vineyard book. Hopefully Spielberg can make a 1 last Jaws. RIP to all actors & crew that have passed. .😪

As a point of interest, the house at 1:33-1:39 (with the whale over the door ) was actress Patricia Neal's home for many years. The property was recently sold and is being renovated. Maybe ~150+ years ago the property belonged to Captain Valentine Pease - the whaling captain who was Melville's inspiration for Ahab in Moby Dick.

The bon fire that opens the movie and the skinny dip swimming scene were shot at different locations.

Your are correct! The skinny dipping/shark attack was filmed at the Cow Bay Beach. Did you enjoy the video, minus this mistake in location?

@@williambechmann6547 Loved it!! My all time fav film. I went there in 2012 for Jaws fest and it was surreal standing in all the locations. I nearly cried being at Menemsha. I plan on going back and really spending a good week there getting to stuff I never got to see. Billboard scene. And would love to get out to Cape Pogue where the iconic end credits was shot. What a classic eh?

Thanks! We wanted to walk to Cape Pogue but my wife's bum knee couldn't handle the terrain. Next time....

@@williambechmann6547 From what i've heard its a bit a treck to get to the location. There's a guy on the Island who also does a water location tour of where the entire 3rd act was shot. I wish i had been more prepared and took photos of the scenes from the film then compared to now.

The in the water scenes of Chrissy being attacked were filmed in the joseph sylvia state beach...where the the water is much more calmer than south beach. I also believe i read that the scene of her under the water was filmed off the island of Catalina in California.
