Favourite booktuber interviews favourite author? HELL YES!! This was so much fun to watch and I am so happy for you that you got the opportunity to talk to him! I loved the section about how special Nevernight has been for so many readers; that series got me through some of the roughest times of my ed recovery and I will forever be grateful for that. Empire of the Vampire is my most anticipated release of the year and I absolutely cannot wait to get my Waterstones signed special edition! You did an amazing job on this interview, I loved it!

I loved this so much. Jay is one of my favorite authors of all time. I’ve preordered (I think) 6 copies so far, and I have been so stoked each time he’s responded to my messages on Instagram (which were really nothing more than likes to stories, etc but turned into quasi conversations). This was a fantastic interview. There were a couple of times where he talked over you, which I cringed at a little, but you dealt with it really well. I think sometimes that's the effect of slight delays with online meetings/video-calls - it's hard to time interjections when you want to clarify your point without talking all over everything the other person is saying. I'm sure no offence was intended. Anyway, super job. Jay Kristoff seems very nice, very switched on, and won a bunch of points with me when he said he hates Twitter! 😁

If you're looking for a book exploring the darker side of the Irish/Celtic Fae folklore, check out Faerie Tale by Raymond Feist. Its about a stereotypical happy family that buys a farmhouse on a large plot of land in New England. They disturb a faerie mound on the property and horrible stuff starts happening. Its full of Irish and Celtic folklore and most of the faerie creatures they encounter are the stuff of nightmares. It starts off very cliché, with the happy family, and that is by design. It turns into a horror novel pretty quickly.

The book is amazing and well-written, but also foul and disgusting. Violence and insulting actions/verbiage toward women. Can't stand the heavily anti-religious themes, etc.
