See, this is the type of MasterChef I want to watch. Australia, UK, the Professionals UK, etc… Because they’re actually talented!!! Like this dish could easily appear in a Michelin Starred restaurant. Here in the US we usually have people who could be serving food at your neighborhood diner, albeit with some exceptions, of course.

@@Sourtastes Oh yes, I love GBM!!! The judges are a bit pretentious (unless they’re the supervising chefs judging, which are always more down to Earth), but the level of cooking from the chefs never ceases to excite. I love the old runs with Jason Atherton, Marcus Waering, and Daniel Clifford.

I agree, I am Australian and live in the UK. I am always shocked to see the American versions of these shows. They are not remotely the same. i prefer the aussie / UK judges too, much more supportive to the chefs. American judges seem quite nasty. Like they make the show about themselves.

@@ktwashere5637 You’re completely correct, the standard is lowered not just for the contestants but for the judges too. I like Gordon because I really respect his talent as one of the greatest 3-Star Chefs of the end of the 20th century and start of the 21st century. But that’s about it🤷🏻‍♂️
