Jay Shafer's Tumbleweed Box Bungalow

Jay Shafer tumbleweedbook.... walks you through his latest tiny home. The Tumbleweed Box Bungalow which he has named the Gifford after his good friend Zeke Gifford who constructed the home for him.
Jay walks you around the house explaining the design, the windows and the construction. Jay than shows off the new Tumbleweed Logo that is not a speak easy on his new home.
Jay than goes into the Box Bungalow and shows you the compact kitchen and bathroom. Showing off the smallest bathtub, shower, sink combo in the world. He also shows you his composting toilet before taking you into the great room of the house.
The great room features comfy chairs, a little fireplace and his working area. He than takes you up into the sleeping area which is the loft and shows off the two skylights, one for each person.

I can't wait until I can afford to build my own tiny house. It will be my primary residence when I am finished. A year of homelessness is a great way to appreciate the simplicity these homes offer.

The house that started the tiny house movement! I fit this house now, thank God I lost 140 pounds. This is my goal to as a minimalist with an edible landscape, Aquaponics, a few chickens, as a prepper, etc thank you for paving the way. Now to find an eco village nearest to me.

Jay, where'd you get the idea for the shelf/anti-spread design? I wrote about that in a comment on a small house forum a couple years ago. It's nice to see someone putting it to use.

Hmm, I don't know if I like the kitchen/bathroom at the entrance, it doesn't seem as inviting. Also, do those shelves really keep it structurally sound? I live where it snows quite a bit and have seen house roofs cave in. I notice that he has a storage area above his desk on one end and above his kitchen/bathroom on the other where he has rafters, it is a relatively small stretch without them.

In your earlier Epu, I noticed that you had a closet space you could hang clothes. Whereas in this design I saw some clothes folded up in the shelving on the right side of the great room while facing the door. Does this cabin have any hanging closet space? (I wear a suit to work and they cannot be when not being worn.)
