Using the Rogers Bros scoring scale, I got it 10-9 SU. I gave JSU a 9 on the 2nd to last song because the trumpets didn't destroy it on a few parts that I thought they should of. Definitely a Super Heavyweight battle and both bands are throwing haymakers.....

Man JSU is straight Slidell'n on these 2's IMO. Two sections are standing out in this band. No consistent full sound. Only mellos and tubas eating consistently and they get 2's? The "Juke" is eating as a unit w/ every section's featured part in the song standing out over all that muscle with no drop off. Not about whose the loudest but SU is consistently full and balanced on their selections.

bmccray10 I agree with you 100%! You can't be giving 2's, and 1's out to a band that has no trumpet section! JSU trumpets not making the cut, and their mellos have to make up for them. Now, all of Southerns sections are strong, and their upper brass killing JSU period! In all, JSU shouldn't have gotten any 2's, because you can't hear their trumpet section what so ever! JSU not a strong unit as a whole like SU!

Yea im in hs band rn. I know you get a lot of offers to check out their school but you really should check out ours. It’s Southfield High School A&T marching band (in Michigan). They went from a famu style to a swac style. The old high school was southfield high school. They were the bluejays, now we’re the warriors. I play btone. No other band like ours in the north, worth a watch
