Jayce VS Viktor Final Fight Death Scene - Arcane Season 2 Act 3

2:04 its confusing but it works like this: 1. Victor reached Glorious Evolution and took over the planet. He was left alone in an empty dreamless solitude with nothing to do. 2. Realising his mistake he began time traveling back to Episode 1 of Arcane when Jayce was a child, a gave him an arcane rune, and watched the timeline grow 3. Every single time he was giving a Arcane rune to child Jayce the outcome was the same for all victors in all timelines, so he kept switching the runes, giving a different one everytime 4. finally after all those attempts we got the "TV show arcane" timeline, where Ekko and Heimerdinger got transfered into one of Victors "rune" universes, where Vi was dead. In that universe, Ekko and Heimerdinger crafted a new time machine, using the Acceleration rune (the one given in episode 1) 5. Finally we come to the ending where Victor reaches glorious evolution, but this time Ekko has the time machine hexcore, which stunlocked Victor for a second, changing the ending of those hundreds of universes created by old victor. 6. Using this small moment of freedom, Jayce actually hugs Victor - transfering him the memory, of seeing old man victor, and the "Dead world" of glorious evolution. 7. He's the first victor to wake up from the cycle (facemask damaged) and deciding to end it. So old man Victor finally found the correct rune, which will end the Glorious Evolution cycle. correct me if im wrong, because im still rendering it in my head.

You are mistaken a little thing, that is not another timeline, that's another universe out of the paradox Viktor was trying to fix. In this one they show us how everything is ok because the Hexgates were never created due the accident with the runes, and we have to remember that, after the accident, Jayce tries to end his life. Think about it, why Ekko and Heimer could live in another themselves but not Jayce? The universe we see is the only one where Jayce can be alive because he is stopped by Viktor. Triggering the plot of the Arcane we know.

@@andrewyang3397 Exactly, they show us how he tried with every single rune he could and with this one, the course of the events drifted away in a reality where Viktor isn't there either because Heimer doesn't bring it up to conversation. Probably he stayed in Zaun or something like that. Jayce killed himself after Vi died cause of the crystals and with the help of Viktor and Powder they made Zaun progress. Jayce on the other side only can go to the future instead of another himself because he dies as a child with his mother or jumps after the crystal first explosion. There is no other Jayce who can live longer because, somehow, his life is conditioned in the moment Old Viktor saves him.

@@maplechamp34well technically it’s a time rune, Ekko was the missing variable to potentially give Jacye enough time to speak to Viktor, and now they were both absorbed into the time rune, it’s possible that this is what future Viktor actually wanted, and its possible by stopping Viktor he forced him to do something to cause the Gods Viktor, because Viktor does have both Shuriman and targon accession imagery, with the hex tower being its own mount targon as Viktor metaphorically climb the the mountain of ascension

@@codyperry5427 it wasn't meant to be a question sorry about the phrasing, but Ekko himself states the rune Jayce had was the "Acceleration" rune, and Heimerdinger didn't correct him so that's why I believe it's what that particular rune is. Of course Acceleration could also refer to time which is how he was able to reverse it and make the device, but I'm just talking about the name specifically.

Art always causes different emotions and opinions among people, and good movies and shows like Arcane are the work of art. I'm not sure why being gay would make love something less? Why does not being gay make their relationship something more? Gay relationships are not only about sex. Whether someone is gay or straight, their love can be platonic, romantic, and/or sexual. In this case, it's not about desire; it's obvious that Jayce's and Viktor's relationship is based on mutual love. I see their relationships as romantic. Viktor literally created a time loop and paradox, to save Jayce as a kid over and over because he wanted them to meet each other. He could just let kid Jayce die, and there would be no Hextech, no Glorious Evolution, no end of the world, and people would not die in battle. The easiest way to fix his problem; only one person would die. But for Viktor Jayce is someone more than just "one person". They were destined to meet each other; Jayce is the only person in any universe who could stop Viktor and show him that seeking perfection is meaningless. Jayce openly said that Viktor's imperfections were what he admired in his life the most. They are soulmates in every timeline. They started everything together and ended it together, embracing each other and touching their foreheads. If being cosmically intertwined soulmates in every timeline and being the only person who can save each other is not the most romantic shit I have seen, then I don't know what romance is. If one of them was a woman, no one would even question that they are in love. People always assume that a man and woman are in a romantic relationship, but if someone sees two men as gay, people are bothered by it. Btw, when gay characters were announced in LoL, people lost their minds, so I'm not surprised that one of the creators said something that the loudest part of the audience wanted to hear.

The first one. Viktor thought the breaking point within these few years of timeline was him giving Jayce the rune and saving him. Thus, he changed rune various of times in order to stop himself but nothing had worked. The last try resulted in Jayce being ported into "arcane hell" timeline, in which he actually originally failed as well. Thus, in any scenairo known to Viktor at the time, the evolution won. However what Viktor failed to realise at the time is that the asumption of him and Jayce being the only possible inventors of hexcore: there is an universum in which both Jayce and Viktor dies (Jayce due to thunderstorm / kills him self; Viktor - Sickness) and the person that creates the hexcore is Ekko sent from original universe and as he gets teleported to "ideal" universe due to inversing the Jayce;s ACCELERATION rune he is able to go back to his original timeline. Then Ekko comeback to the cannon universum and throws the Z-Drive which blows Viktor, thus "this device can't be" as Viktor didn't consider a timeline in which someone else creates Hexcore, as he originally thought the "Breaking point" is him saving Jayce and giving him the rune. The original timeline in which the evolution won happend however in the universum in which Jayce died during thunderstorm.

Am I crazy, or the little glitch effect that happens after they’re sucked into the rune and seemingly “disintegrated” is the same/similar glitch effect that happened when Jayce, Ekko, and Heimer got sucked into the Arcane and spat out into the multiverse? Is this just cope? I legit have reasonable doubt of their death. No body, no signs of actual vaporization (ash, stain, bodily deterioration, etc.) We’ve seen what it looks like when people get vaporized by hextech (like Sky and that one guy Ambessa tested it on) but this doesn’t look like that. It just looks like they were absorbed into the rune, and the rune vanished… Not to mention that the raven at the end was pecking at the remains of Jayce’s hammer (likely where the rune would be if it still exists) and when the raven pecks at it, a faint blue glow floods the edges of the frame. Nahhhhh they ain’t DEAD DEAD.

Fun fact, but the animators actually asked the game devs whether it was alright to kill off Jayce and Viktor because you know game continuity and what not. Riot gave them an immediate green light. Props to Riot letting these have full creative freedom without worrying about the games lore.

I like it, I’m sure we all would’ve liked to see more action but this shows how far beyond everyone else Viktor is. They couldn’t even get past his minions (without time travel), and he took the quickest most efficient route to victory like a machine would. The only thing that could beat the Machine God was an alternate reality version of himself guiding Jayce since he was a kid.

I think it was because two anomalies at the same place. Viktor lost all emotions by being this higher being and Ekko’s anomaly broke Viktor’s making his emotions come back

@@sleepy_pommie it's more the two anomalies are the same but the one with Ekko's is inverse of what Viktor's anomaly is. Ekko created that anomaly by "inversing" Jayce's acceleration rune, which also happens to be the same rune that's on Jayce's bracelet which (bc of the anomaly clash) let him break free from Viktor's control and show him what Jayce saw while in the Arcane, as well as hear Future Viktor say that perfection is kinda shitty and empty (it's not shown in the clip) which leads to said mid-life crisis

1: The device is from another timeline, ie it shouldn't exist in this one, so Viktor had a paradox literally blow up in his face. 2: Due to the editing, it leaves out the part where Jayce shows Viktor his future self revealed to have been the mage who gave Jayce the rune long ago. Not only is Viktor pretty much warned by his future self, but he witnesses the decolation he will cause if he pursues the glorious evolution. Future Viktor comments on how removing the imperfection of humanity was a grave mistake as his existence became lonely and pointless.
