Thanks for answering the question regarding the NLS technique

I got a trial of Orion, and when I compare it with the Jayden Joshua drum chain it does sound better BUT it does not emulate the NLS buss trick he does. IMO. I still have to put that on there to get the depth in drums.

Yea definetly has its differences, but its great to use it when you need it quickly!

@@LuisCancion yea that’s why I’m a cop it. Can’t beat having all the tinkering in one plugin instead of 6.

Anyone know what freq the HPF is set to when turned on?
@LuisCancion2 ай бұрын
@@royalinvasionproductionstv6370 great question; if it’s following his original set up, there should be a high pass at 20, but the pass is very forgivable. It’s a long curve at 20 but goes down a few cycles, just cleans up the rumble low

@@LuisCancion oh ok. So like a 6 or 12 db slope I'm guessing?

Another question I have if you can answer it as I'm no pro and haven't followed JJ for too long .... The drive knob would be his NLS trick, but does the following knobs (harmonics, compression, lift) run in parallel as they are shown in percentages? When you get to the harmonic eq knob it is again shown in dBS. I get the parallel sliders as they represent his aux sends ...

I downloaded it yesterday, put it on a drum bus, played around with it a bit, and wasn’t really too impressed. I’ve gotta play with it some more before I have a better opinion though. It’s a CPU hog too. I loved The God Particle instantly but this didn’t have that affect on me.

While i do agree! theres a actually a second fuction for it thats a little bit more useful then i thought ;) video on that coming later.

Jaycen Joshua is selling his little gimmicky tool to bedroom FL Studio "producers". I inspected ORION today and it sucks tbh. I can even hear it instantly on this track. The saturation is subpar to todays options. The transients from the parallels don't even sync correctly. I'm super disappointed. I would not even us it for free. It sounds horrible.

fl studio bed producers ? more like pro tools and ableton users since those software doesn't give any sufficient native tools to work with and you. guys haeve to always puchase erd party plugins in fl studio you have maximus, fruity limiter etc etc... who can do all this BS jaycen joshua its selling you guys 🤣🤣🤣🤣

By what are you impressed? I admit that it sounds good on your drums in this type of beat. But I can guarantee you if you gave me your drums on my chain it would kill Orion any time. Just LISTEN to the saturation. It's not good. It sounds horribly cheap. The parallels are horrible sounding. Everything sounds so cheap. Why do you love it?
@LuisCancion2 ай бұрын
While I do agree there are better plugins out there for saturation, for me it’s the quickness I can set it up at! I mix about 3 songs a day, so I need EASY & FAST :)
@paulmisty89982 ай бұрын
@@LuisCancion easy and fast over quality...ouch! I feel you, but why don't just use your template or BlueCats Patchwork and build your own chain with parallels in one plugin? I was in the plugin bubble but left it. Feels so much better to use my brain now.

@@paulmisty8998 great idea! - so i usually go throough about 3-4 mixes a day, full time gig here, so qhile quality is always the goal, i still have to meet a certain amount a day lol, focusing on both is the key there. i do have a analog patchbay with some gear at my console, i boucne between both during a mix, ITB and Analog depeding the source.
