I’m obsessed with all of the realistic aspects that clearly make it just a kid filming his friend group instead of a whole fancy film. It’s really the small things, the movement of the camera not always being perfect, Basil coughing, instead of everything being easy to do mari saying she has to check first because sunny can’t go without her.. the little imperfections of filming reality just for fun is what makes this style so perfect.

That fucking ending... You still there, listening to those kids just having casual conversation, maybe having a dumb smile to just being able to hear their interactions and then final scene pulls up. Camera isn't focused on anywhere in particular, the conversation is still happening but just somewhere further away from it and the random look around with gives this realistic feel of how would someone inexperienced with a camera would try to take a full shot of scenery and then boom. Random focus, just another shot someone would try to take, not something specific, just some forrest near the house, no sudden changes with a jumpscare, no intensity added with music only conversation getting more quiet to make you focus on the video itself and all that in a particular view that for someone who's not even familiar with a game enough could just overlook but those who understood will have their joy from all the previous moments pulled out by the roots by a simple reminder made rather unintentionally in the context but effectively set by author. But in the end it's nothing much. Just a tree up on a hill.

Oh my goodness this is adorable as always and such a step up too! Everyone's voice actors are great, Aubrey is co consistently cheery and I love how much expression you gave to her. Meanwhile Sunny's so shy even to talk into Basil's camera haha. And then Hero and Kel getting back, again with great voice actors. Love Hero having to big brother Kel, and while Basil talks to Hero there's the whole subplot of Kel giving Aubrey a Hector (the rock) lol. And then finally we get to see Mari! Of course she's doing her pianos lessons... it is _that_ summer after all... she's a bit more reserved than I would've expected but it's also pretty fitting, especially with how she explains how busy she is. And don't think I didn't notice her blushing and tucking her hair behind her ear when Aubrey mentions Hero! And of course, Basil ending the recording focusing on that tree...

BRO I SRSLY cant even EXPRESS. how good this is. this is actually AMAZING. i was like gasping the whole way through it, it looks so realistic, the voicing is AMAZINGLY ON POINT (especially KEL i was IMPRESSED). the fact that the backgrounds were filmed like irl adds so much volume to the work and the characters were animated and drawn in so well!! videos like these always bring me back to OMORI, its such a amazing game, and the talented people who make content out of it always bring a smile to my face! Keep the good work up! ill be supporting the whole way through it

The whole interaction feels so genuine. You can feel the friendship in full effect here. Nothing happened and it'll always be that way, right? Another thing I really like is just how random some of the shots are. Just like how I used to be when I was kid recording stuff.
