8:16 Land on the gas, not wide open, but on the gas for forward momentum. You wont stick then slide, you will accelerate and control the slide with lean angle and throttle. The spongy wet chocolate is tricky but once you nail it, it will make sense. Think if it like riding your rear wheel through sand.

So funny how our minds can play with us. Realistically, you're sending much bigger jumps on the track, but the table table is what felt sketchy. Definitely a rewarding feeling when you overcome that. Nice riding man
@dieseldabz710411 ай бұрын
As a ex racer who's life revolved around anything 2 stroke I can say the biggest improvement you can make is going custom shocks. The jumps you are hitting really requires it especially on older bikes, atv's. You are taxing the factory suspension and constantly bottoming it out so it's time and your body will thank you for it. Night and day will make bike feel totally different, yes it's one of if not the most expensive part to upgrade but it's needed. Watching this makes me wish I could still race and ride like that but can't after my spinal cord injury.

Suspension is definitely on the to-do list. Once there's a week where I definitely won't be riding, I'll send it out. Hyped to hear you're getting into the off road action. It's never too late :) Don't be nervous to try out a track. Everyone is friendly and the fast guys will just go around you as long as you hold your line and focus forward.

@EarthSurferUSA10 ай бұрын
Yea, the jumps are big today, and usually you don't need any corner speed to clear them because they are in the middle of the straight more. But we had some pretty big jumps in the 80's and 90's. I think the sport took more skill back then, (but it is a different, higher speed skill today), because we usually put jumps after corners so you had to have good corner speed to clear them, (which would greatly help the corner speed of a lot of Go-Pro amateurs I see today. I have never seen son many racers so slow in the corners. No offense. Just what I see.), and then we let the bumps develop to make it even harder. We never groomed tracks to this extent, but I can see with the speed today (tracks got faster because of the faster 4-stroke. They would go back if the 2-stroke came back), it would be very dangerous to let a track get rough before a 45-55 mph jump. Lots of injuries in this sport today, more than any other sport in the world, (because the EPA forced the faster 4-stroke on the industry), and i am old enough to remember what happened to the 3-wheeler. I think we can bet money, that if the excessive injuries hit the TV news----the sport may be finished soon after legislatively. Just like the 3-wheeler with less government power over what we make and sell than today.
