I have been to Vietnam four times but have only been to the Walking street (Bui Vien) once during day time to book our Phuc Quoc island tour with Sinh Cafe. There was a small restaurant that made great crepes, There was so many places to see and so little time :).

I saw your previous one and I think you guys are a lovely couple. You seem to be quite open-minded which is great for traveling. I really like VN because life there seems to be great value all around, from housing to food to transportation to services. I used to live and work in VN and quite envious of how ordinary people (blue collar) have same access to fresh delicious food, travel, recreation, park, etc as the wealthy. Not sure about life in Europe and UK but here in the US, to get good freshly cooked healthy food or safe housing, you'd have to pay a lot. I would suggest that you guys take advantage of freshly squeezed fruit juice or fruit smoothie in VN, they're quite reasonable, great thirst quencher for the tropic climate, and you get tree-ripened fruit in your drinks, save your craving for sodas like Coca Cola, etc when you get back to your home country. The VN flan in coffee is so so so good. I can probably eat 10 in one seating :-) That lady is so nice.

I was there with my wife in 2017 loved it. we stayed in D1. We went to the night club area on the second night. The first person we met was an elderly men. first thing he said was asking if we wanted class A drugs lol. There is a bar not to far from Starbucks (as you look at Starbucks it down the road to the left.) that brewed their beer in house. all the stills were at the back of the bar.

I've never actually been up north in Vietnam or even to central Vietnam - the pandemic cut my trip short! We will be heading to North Vietnam in December which I hear is more beautiful. However I've had very nice trips to Dalat and Phu Quoc Island before the pandemic!

Hmmm, it all depends on the day but I would say your budget per day could be between $10-30 USD 😜 Eating more local food will be very cheap and satysfying too! Obviously the most expensive is alcohol 👍
