The very dynamic and variable rhythm is genuinely quite beautiful and almost melancholy in a way, especially the opening notes. The chord-progression building up to the ‘and if you do decide to wax it’ part is insanely well done. If this wasn’t about skin sofas and instead was about pas loves or something it would make a great pull-out-the-guitar-and-play-a-quick-tear-jerker song.

His first sentence sounded so much like Beardyman that I had to go and check they weren't related. I found out they're brothers and now all I can think about is a Foreman brothers collab...

Every so often I have to come back and listen to this again, beautiful song So in Oblivion there is this "Staff of the Everscamp" where when activated it summons 4 small smelly demons that do nothing but follow the staff, its simply inconvinient. However the staff is cursed, you cant put it down unless someone else willingly accepts it. Im imagining such a scenario with the skin sofa, you cant get rid of it without someone else taking it of their own volition
i was so entranced counting to 5 that i fully didnt even take in the lyrics for the first half of the song, tuned back in, realised id missed a lot, and went to try again lmao

1:13 the melody he sings accompanied by the melody he plays on the guitar makes it sound like two people singing in harmony Edit: I just saw someone pretty much commented the exact same thing, I promise I’m not one of those people who steals comments to get likes or something

Do you have plans to make such songs again? Maybe on a second channel? I just love them so much, no one else does it similar to you!

I love Jay. His songs give me a very strong Niel Cicierega vibe too.
