@Seamus Lannon ...i was being sarcastic. I know Sinatra mad it a hit. I was born in '56 and my mother played Sinatra, Dean (Martin) basically the Rat Pack. Big Band Singers Dorsey etc. the very large RCA console stereo. But hell fire, when Tom Jones came to America and had his own TV show, their was no talking in the house. Try keeping 4 kids quiet..haha You should cheek out Sal on America's Got Talent. He got a kiss form Heidi Klum and the gold.

@@mstewart109 ...you are correct about Tom Jones. My moms from England. My dad was stationed in England. They married and had four of us dual citizenship that England recognized, and the U.S. didn't. I call it England because it aggravates the British. That want to be Great Britain again. Sorry went way off point. One day Tom Jones tv show was getting ready to start. I said mom your Tommy's about to start. She said she was too busy...all of us just starred at each other, with that stepford wife look. 3 sisters and me. Well to get to the point, and not reliving the play by play. My mom was mad because He got his start in England and they made him an international star. Well Mr Jones was praising his home Country of Wales. He was very proud to be Welch, but he forgot to mention the people of England, who supported that young Welch kid and got him noticed to be what he became to be. My mother got over it, and was back watching him swinging those hips in the tight black pants. Tom help Elvis with some of his dance moves when Elvis started performing again, especially the Vegas shows. The End

People were cheering throughout the concert so loud it was hard to hear him sing. Many people stood throughout the concert cheering him on. He always ended the concert by singing " I cant help falling in love with you".As he was singing it and when he finished the crowd was calling out "ELVIS DON'T GO"!!!! over and over as he shook hands and gave out kisses....it was emotional to be in the stadium hearing the thunderous cheering and asking him to stay....

This is originally French song titled Comme d"Habitude (As usual), Paul Anka wrote English lyrics and it was performed by Frank Sinatra. For Elvis it was a confession of his life and it kind of had good-bye feeling, that's why it always makes me tear up and gives me chills, especially when he sings "and now the end is near and I must face the final curtain".. so overwhemingly sad knowing he will be gone in little more than 3 years... Karolina/Poland

The saddest thing is he owed no confession of his life to anyone. We somehow held this man to higher standards than ourselves. As fans we drained him in a way. He owed none of us anything he gave so much in so many ways, what he did in private was his business. I agree it does make me sad in retrospect.

It's the music Elvis makes that blows your mind. I have seen ALOT.......ALOT.......... of bands, singers Concerts. And the ONLY one I have ever seen, Were all and I mean all the people, Sat in their seat, Is the Elvis concert, Cause only he had the magic that engulfed the entire crowd as if hypnotized to the God given power that {as 73 years } so far, Has shown. That only he commanded that total control not only his vocals but the Heart, Minds And Souls of his adoring fans , And I thank God And Elvis,That I was one that sat in a seat in Omaha,Ne 6/30/75 8:30pm And I have a very vivid memory of that night and please believe me..... You-tube, Record, Tape or C.D Or the reaction video's does not do him justice. As in person really was the way to feel that unbelievable , Undeniable volt of charisma that give him that powerful vibration to be weak as a willow or wild as the raging sea to move the world in the way he sang from with- in him--- Projecting it out to us.....And that , Is what Elvis did FOR and TO the world!! He was like a f-5 Tornado once in his grip, You could not help but become another ADORING FAN I don't know everyone that touched the entire world ................. I was lucky, I got to see him 5 times! Elvis, the hair on the back of my head stood up when came out even before he even started singing! I was 13 when he came to Louisville on Nov.7, 1971. My two sisters & brother in- law got seats the side very close the stage. But the backup singers and speakers on stage blocked Elvis. So Col. Tom Parker, Elvis manager before the concert, I yelled for Parker to come over. We told him we bought tickets to see Elvis and the view of the singers & the tall speakers in the way we wouldn't see much. If u herd stories on him is could be rude. He told us nothing he could. So he walked away sent of one of Elvis's bodyguard and he moved on the floor on the side close to the stage! I'm telling I'm 62 now & saw him very good looking back then! U would have been blown away how his voice sounded even better in person. I often wonder if his bodyguard told Elvis that little kids gave Col. Tom Parker a hard way to go lol!

My husband didn't have very many artists he listened to but, THE KING! I always told him Elvis was singing this song to him! I played this for him everyday of the last 2 months of his life and played it again at his funeral 10 years ago and this my new friend, Jamel was the first time I have listened to this again! Yes, many tears and great sorrow at the loss not only a TRUE WORLD SUPERSTAR but, also my SUPERSTAR! Yes, we were lucky enough to see Elvis 4 times and also own ever vinyl he ever made!

You speak about his aura and it's what so many people who have known him, that I have interviewed over the years*, have always spoken about. Many have said you could be in a room and suddenly feel him there without even seeing him. (*I'm a writer who has written several articles on Elvis over the years) When even I would still be described as young to be an Elvis fan, considering I was only a child when he died. With my crying profusely on that day for a man I hardly knew anything about and yet I still sensed that the world had lost something great. It was an indescribable feeling and what led me on my quest to actually learn who he was.

I have to admit that I was in my late teens before I knew that Sinatra had done it too, I had only ever known the Elvis version. Could you check out Until It’s Time For You To Go? When my Mum passed away (she was a massive Elvis fan) my Dad listened to it a lot and though still terribly sad, it reminds me of her too.

Elvis sings every song like he's lived it, there's just something special about his voice and actually just something special about him! Can't compare him to anyone because he barely moves in his older self and still he could make you cry with his presence and voice

I was 18 when Elvis died I grew up in a household where my parents were playing Elvis before I was born, so I grew up with Listening to his music, it was so normal, and like everybody else we felt we knew him, and when he died it was the 1st time I saw my parents cry and it affected me so much, That even today when I think of Elvis being gone it takes me back, and I realize the loss, that hole is still there. We'll always miss his bright light that's for sure 😍🥰

You can feel every single word he said! Dang! What a great performer. He may not have written it, but it was sincere when he sang it.

This comes from Aloha From Hawaii Via Satellite which was a TV special event. If you can you should watch the show in its entirety. I was fortunate to see Elvis Presley live in 74 and it was phenomenal. There was such a wide range of ages in the audience....

I was born & raised in Memphis. Grew up about about a mile from Graceland. We used to hang outside the gates & wait for him to come out. He gave away a lot of Cadillacs. I was in the 5th grade when he died. The city came to a complete standstill. I remember it like it was yesterday & it was 1977. Love love love Elvis 💖💖💖
