Artistic Bear "Infatuation" was about 10 years after the disco era. It came out in 1988 or 89. One of my favorites, but far past the disco era. It doesn't even sound like a disco song. Synthesized pop rock, I guess?

When our government was trying to cut medical coverage to kids with disabilities he found out that a bunch of Parents were going to DC, with their kids, to testify but they didn't have enough money to get there. He stopped his concert & said, "I'm not a Dem or GOP, I'm a Father, & I'm funding their trip to DC". I cried.

The period when rock bands and artists took some disco, and some disco artists and groups took rock. I remember how critics went mad yelling about sell out of principles and what not while the rest danced and enjoyed. Rod's band, simply named Rod Stewart Band, consisted of veterans like session musician / Jeff Beck Philip Chen on bass, former Steve Harley & Cockney Rebel, Family Jim Cregan on guitar, Carmine Appice drums who had played in Vanilla Fudge, Beck Bogert & Appice, Cactus, Gary Grainger. The band lasted for five years. The album "Blondes Have More Fun" was a massive hit all over.

Dang, didn't know Carmine was the drummer with Stewart. I'd like Jamel to react to VF cover of Diana Ross's song. There was one great version of it on YT where VF was on some talk show; that performance is still up but the version has been tainted with weird visual effects. Jamel's always appreciating a band/performers energy...Never seen anything better than VF doing You Keep Me Hanging On during that show.

YES This one is it!! "Tonight's the Night"👍🏼I always would rather watch vids than listen to audio .. it's fun to see everything that's going on. RS is fun to watch. There's only very few from this music genre where the audio is actually better. Peace out🤘🏼

My sister went to a Catholic High School run by Nuns when this came out. They played "Tonight's the Night" for one of the older sisters. She was like "What a lovely song." The young hip Nun walked in. She looked at the girls shaking her head but kept quiet!

Rod Stewart was my heart. Listen to a song from his last album. But, I love his moves and his face and clothes, etc. So even at 82, young man, watch your mouth when talking about Rod.

Most folks couldn't comprehend the overall coolness of the 70's,.An overall American coolness. Race didn't matter then, or now. Americans, ALL of us still have that coolness!! The coolness comes from us being so different, yet united. It's still true. Thank you Jamal!

I remember the first time I heard that one, when it was new. Rod was feeling rockstar life. He dated models and icons (Hot Legs, Tina Turner). Those days were way more simple than these. We took them for granted. Life was good. As always, I hope you and yours are doing fine, Brother. Make a great day.

“That just brings a whole new meaning to “Rod” Stewart.” Haha! Luv your reactions to this one Jamal. Rod wasn’t really a Disco artist but this is still one of the best Disco songs of all time. Especially luv that bridge where the band really lays down the Funk.
