The period when rock bands and artists took some disco, and some disco artists and groups took rock. I remember how critics went mad yelling about sell out of principles and what not while the rest danced and enjoyed. Rod's band, simply named Rod Stewart Band, consisted of veterans like session musician / Jeff Beck Philip Chen on bass, former Steve Harley & Cockney Rebel, Family Jim Cregan on guitar, Carmine Appice drums who had played in Vanilla Fudge, Beck Bogert & Appice, Cactus, Gary Grainger. The band lasted for five years. The album "Blondes Have More Fun" was a massive hit all over.

“Infatuation” is another good one from Rod’s Disco era. You’ll like it. Also “Passion” is AMAZING! I loved his Disco phase but some didn’t, they called him a sellout but I think it was some of his better music but then I loved to dance and I was a huge Disco fan. Also “Hot Legs” is fabulous too.

'Infatuation' was from 1984 if I'm not mistaken. Disco was long gone by then. By then, pop rock/new wave sounds were the order of the day.

Artistic Bear "Infatuation" was about 10 years after the disco era. It came out in 1988 or 89. One of my favorites, but far past the disco era. It doesn't even sound like a disco song. Synthesized pop rock, I guess?

@@GAMEOVER-1969 “Infatuation” came out in 1984, so it wasn’t that far removed from the disco era. Rod had a heavy synthesized sound from 1981 through 1984. Jeff Beck was the guitarist on “Infatuation”
