@@JayHosking Been on the fence for the tasty chips seems like a great way to get unexpected diversity. Considering a Zen Delay do to the enjoyable interaction but seems a bit limited in options at the price point for what equal or slightly more expensive options offer sonically. From track to track which would you find yourself going back to most often between Cosmos, Zen, or Tasty Chips?
@JayHosking3 жыл бұрын
@@travisbourbeau2768 Wow, that's hard. Good question. Cosmos makes a particular type of music each time, a sort of asynchronous ambient without clear edges/borders. Zen can be set-and-forget, and sounds great that way, but thrives when you play it. GR-1 can be four timbres of sample playback, polyphonic synth, granular cloud, any combination thereof, and more; it's probably the one that can fill the most space in a variety of jams.
@travisbourbeau27683 жыл бұрын
@@JayHosking Looks like you sold a GR-1 higher price point but not by much when you consider what it can bring, Cosmos takes a second, I love that Soma is putting outside the box thinking into instruments, having success using the lyra 8 as a fx pedal over other sounds. Thanks

Mr.Hosking has , just these last couple of years, instigated me to buy a GrandMother,a Noodler,a plethora of verbs ,like Big Sky,the Empress,even the ZOIA, well and a loooong list of synth, mostly and formerly everything DreadBox has conjured up- and listening to this - makes me - again - , shakingly entertain the idea of - finally - getting that SUB37 - instead of the Matriarch (its not that I exactly NEED more Analog Polysynth´s) my GOD, it sound b-b-b-beautiful, maybe , probably - the mest sounding Moog on the planet , in sharp contest with the granny- BUT I have set my definite mind on a Matriarch , for a gazillion reasons - ....but ...OMG, that SUB37.... well -also in the hands of one the most interesting melody makers I heard for years ( no joke) :-O and how fitting the Cosmo and Tasty Tortillas goes together - the weaving rhythm patterns are magical- and I think I found a substitute for the Morphagene, in the Tasty Chirps.... im fully onboard with you on the Eurorack comprehension....that damn rabbithole of Banchees, Sirenes, Elves and Gnomes, got my number 2 !!! :-O
