Awesome video per usual! Sorry about the crash, You’re pretty spot on correct in your crash analysis; once the butt comes off the seat too far & the chest & elbows don’t collapse you start to hold up your upper body weight through your arms which translates to unwanted input on the bars. You also had the throttle cracked open since the corners exit was near so the front wheel was barely even loaded if any; you can see how the front end is fighting front grip & input vs body placement when the bars twitched @ 15:01, add in the little bumps in the corner & the front wheel slowly pushes until it collapses; I noticed that your butt kept rising up of the seat mid corner a few times from the gyaatt cam, try to move a little less off the seat for now & focus on the lower body fundamentals. Welcome to the track life baby🤙🏾🤛🏾 🏁🏍️💨

Great video mate, the crash break down was pretty accurate. Your body position becomes increasingly crossed up throughout the corner as you move your bum across further into the corner. It looks like you're too far off the seat to start with, even in other clips, which will translate into too much bar grip. You want to hold on through your legs to allow the steering to correct itself as you go. Focus on keeping your legs locked into the tank butt in position(one cheek off) and using your upper body to move you around the bike! Hope to see you out there in the future the track is great fun and SMSP is a good one.

@HunterSJX5 күн бұрын
I would say something you might already know. Judging by your body position, you apply too much pressure on the handlebar, which will result in some difficulty leaning into the turn. I think the final blow is you trying to drag your knee mid-turn, sudden change of the CG of the bike causes you to lose the rear tire. Glad to see you walked off the track, mate! Keep Riding!
@RV-S-345 күн бұрын
Upper body is one, but it doesn't cause the crash. It was because you were on throttle accelerating and giving more lean angle at the same time. Changing position middle corner didn't help as well. Break/slow to the apex of the corner adding more lean angle. At the apex switch to accelerating and straighten the bike. Glad you are ok!

Really good video, your body position was great until the crash basically, it's not ideal to change your position while in a corner because you'll upset the motorcycle, and as shown, you ended up taking your butt out too much and ended up losing the front. Happens to everyone and we're glad you're okay! There are a few points that could benefit you if you want to do a next track day, for example, you could take your butt out before starting to break for a corner and you'll realize that, rev matching while entering a corner and getting into position can be tricky, so it's just easier to go down the gears without rev matching. FYI I'm no pro, but I'm also no beginner, so IF I'm saying something wrong, I'd like to know! Here to help and share what I know!
@miguelcarreira76034 күн бұрын
Btw, getting a track fairing kit is a good option and you could use that bent exhaust as a track exhaust. All this said, so if you end up crashing again (because, not only on the track but also on motorcycles in general, we're all prone to that), you damage material meant to be damaged (if you get what I mean).
@Excepti0nHandler4 күн бұрын
It's almost never about the body position. People focus too much on the lean and how they are positioned. Most of the times it is about the most basic things or about what happened to the bike that it reacted that way and slid out. It would be a lot better if we could get front 3rd person footage of you coming to the corner cause analysing how the weight transferred to the front of the bike is very important. But we only get to see the helmet cam and 360 which is a bit hard to depict since your position was fine. From what I saw is that at the 15:00 mark, you saw that you were too fast in the corner to hit the apex. You must have noticed the guy in front of you was getting a tighter line and you were about to go far off. So you start adding even more steer (not even countersteer), and lean the bike more, and at the same time your speed is still increasing. You basically minimised your contact patch from all these decisions you made and you slipped out. You might also have put a lot of pressure on the handlebars when breaking into the corner rather than letting that tank take all of that pressure using your thighs. What you should be doing is trail brake to set your self up for the line. And even if you realise you are too fast in the corner and not going to hit the apex, DON'T speed up and lean even more. You should use light braking to load the front up a bit and go tighter or even use the rear brake to adjust your line in the corner. Also maintain little pressure on the handlebars and let them do the turning.

Which tires were you riding with? i believe the reason for the crash could be: - body position (your upper body still in the middle of the bike - think abut biting your hand. that way you can visualize it easier. and your butt should only be half way off the bike) - tire just not good enough (which one were you riding with?) - too much gas for the angle you can see that you still were accelerating while getting more and more lean angle you can keep your speed while getting more lean angle but you shouldnt increase it only increase speed when getting less angle
@jasansan50436 күн бұрын
Glad ur safe brother! From a learning perspective I’m still a bit confused on how u went down even after the explanation. I get that more lean=more risk but were you scraping peg at that point or did the bike give out solely because of body position?

Hey, what a coincidence, yesterday while I was riding home, I crashed for the first time, a bike suddenly made a u-turn in front of me so i didnt have no other choice other than to swerve to not hit the guy, the road was slippery which caused my bike to slip due to the sudden turn, I was wearing full gear an I think i handled the situation pretty well considering my helmet isnt even grazed (i made to sure to not hit my head on the ground), my bike doesnt have much damage either cause of the crashguard/slider, thankful that everything went okay cause that kind of crash could have ended much worse.
