I have the roll on my MTP webbing and it sits high enough that I can still reach the rear pouches unhindered

I have always liked the Airborne place kit, just didn't like the material it was constructed with so I built an Eagle H harness copy all m-81 woodland molle US issue pouch's works very well not as comfortable as the place kit but very close. Good video like the buttpack idea thanks for sharing

Genuine question: why does the British army chooses to wear their pouches on their back? I understand you can go prone lower, but reaching for magazine/grenades in a cqb/fibua/contact drill situations is way harder. Isn’t your harness supposed to be for item you have to reach immediately like ammunition/grenades/medical?

The magazine and grenade pouches are at the front of the belt usually on the left hand side which means they can be accessed easily without removing the right hand from the pistol grip

You have your mag pouches on your left side of your webbing in most cases it’s more convenient an doesn’t fuck them up when your in the prone

@@Whitt0709 I know. I was trying to say that the magazine pouches are not on your back and instead on your side (closer to the front) but I probably wasn't clear enough. Thanks for clarifying though.
