Damn, just re-watched it real close-like. so #7 took two small steps toward the inside and THEN jumped out. Herbert saw the slight in-cut and threw it where he would have been. It's the receiver's fault completely. Still a badass play by Watson. Plenty of rookies might have dropped it. However, as others have pointed out, #7 was completely gassed and asked to come out. coach: No, its a quick snap - you can come out next play Chargers: Throw to guy about to collapse lmao yeah yeah, Herbert may have had no idea due to hurry up, but still. comedy of errors actually. I guess they know when #7 is gasses he really is gassed!

Dude couldn't get in USC because of his academics. Worked his ass off at a Wendy's his mom was a manager of and worked on his grades. Got into Washington St. and made Pac12 honorable mention two years straight. Then drafted by K.C in the seventh round and off he goes. Love these stories as well. Byron Young of Tennessee (Vols) is another one(stories) I love!

THey showed the replay. He was trying to come out of the game due to fatigue from the 26 yard screen before but they kept him in AND called his number.. Smart thinking by the Chargers throw the ball to the tired guy, but give credit to KC for pressuring Herbert to adjust his throw that allowed it to get jumped like it did..

miscommunication on Herbert and Everett the whole time, anyone that says otherwise clearly wasn’t able to watch the game and see later on that Everett was trying to sub out because he was gassed and tired, but was ignored. So I’ll stand by and say miscommunication and rushed play on the chargers, all I hope is Herbert is okay.

I coudl be wrong but i believe this is where Herbert was injured. He tried a awkward one arm tackle and Watson spun him around, which i believe stretched his rib and damaged the cartilage. U can see him when hes going down kinda put his arm up to his ribs. I believe this either is when the injury happened, or it started it and the sack made it worse. Cuz the sack was a clean hit. Did nothing that shouldve hurt the cartilage.

He literally put it the only place it could gave been picked. But there were throws early in the game where he was way behind the WR.
