Incredible bass, jazz funk and metal machine! I had a headless 6-string like that kinda. And in a preview in the beginning you showed not the US custom MTD but Kingston series they do - also amazing instruments, I have modded Kingston Super 5 as well, a lot of videos on my channel =)

I own a Geoff Gould SS. I guess he and Michael worked together a while back and were the pioneers of this design. My GG bass is fast and very aggressive sounding, such as this MTD. I don't wanna say one trick pony, but I wouldn't take it to a wedding gig or anything, glad I own it though.

I have the brown one, it's my number one. I cuts through a mix extremely well. I can't get anything to clean or dirty it up. Pretty much the only bass I need. Now what to do with the other 10?

Jayme, is this a Kingston? To me the headstock and pickup routing indicate this is a full fat USA MTD not a Kingston with US electronics. Making it a 5k vs a 1300$ bass. At 15 secs you are definitely showing a Kingston model and price tag.

I mostly play just DI and am hearing a lot of extra rattle from anything HH. Is that just me playing differently for those basses or should I switch to mainly amps? Or a mix issue.

That doesn’t look like a super 5. The headstock is completely different. Also those aren’t the correct pickups either. I know you mentioned it was upgraded electronically but that bass looks nothing like a super 5.

The bass he is playing is an MTD USA Super 5. Not a Kingston Super 5. It is a bit confusing because the picture he shows early in the video is a Kingston Super 5
