It's not easy to find yourself at a young age when most people commit to a relationship. How can parents help children find themselves or rather develop the skill to discover themselves earlier on?

So, a couple of months ago someone was trying to convince me of marrying for all the wrong reasons - age, children, time. I was also given examples of some marriages from our extended family (which I feel are just not the kind I want). But the examples I got were meant to make me think that marriages are a compromise. I just didn't feel right in that conversation. Sometimes I feel I am foolish because I am trying to do everything that my family or society doesn't conform to. I hardly ever conform to anything. But then the gut feeling is that this path is right. Even if I am not in a relationship or marriage right now or I am not into a conventional profession, it still feels right. Also, it is right to take time, even if it is a few months or years, after a breakup to heal and gather yourself.

I don’t think he can say marriage is successful until they raise their kids together , there comes the fun
@jaishriiyer15634 жыл бұрын
With the level of maturity he is projecting, I feel they will make great parents too. Its all about how considerate two people are about each other's needs and how mature they are to handle them.
@chaitlogs77184 жыл бұрын
@@jaishriiyer1563 yes I get that, but one cannot say it’s successful marriage, until they raise kids, because here comes the point where people regrow. Then they should show that level of maturity. Also I don’t take words of the husband if he assumes it’s successful marriage. I want it to hear from his wife. Projection is different to to apply it when it’s practical. Experience😀 my experience raising kids with Nanny and just parents tests more of our patience , relation, support to each other.. I strongly believe only marriage is successful when you get through this phase together.

One needs to come from a mature place to have kids. And if one is sorted in their lives they won’t project their insecurities, regrets, guilt on their kids. That’s the problem with this world now- messed up parents are raising messed up kids, nobody is pausing to think about the life you’re bringing into the world. It is a big responsibility which I hope people take it seriously
