Couple of safety tips: 1. no seat belts. 2. Windows cracked. 3. If you have a window punch tool just get it out leave it in center console. 4. Slow driving. 5. Let others know your going out and your actual path your taking. 6. Ask locals around the area for information about driving out on the ice. Hope this helps others.

I love Lake of the Woods. Spent a summer at Reddens campsite on longbow lake right next door. Didn't even have to use a boat just catch monster pike right off the dock. Go the to end, jump the rollers and you were fishing Lake of the woods. Great memories!!

A reason is to watch you catch fish. BIGGEST reason you keep me watching the entire video is your B-ROLL footage you do in post editing! Not many KZbin fish anglers spend much time implementing that part in their videos. You really glorify the ice fishing experience with B-ROLL footage. I picked up the Eskape 2800 this year, loving it so far. Killing the crappies on LOTW. The only cons I have so far is the sliders have wore out really fast towing behind the sled with minor road crossing, and I haven't been able to get the cover snug enough for it to stay sealed from the snow.

Ngl, Id be that guy cooking going down the ice road. Got confidence in the tires and truck as a whole, but I'm also not going out unless theres 2ft of ice min. Otherwise im walking. I know many say 1ft is safe, I just prefer a safety cushion since ice conditions vary. Also, since I tend to fish in walkable distances, I always make sure to walk out before driving to make sure I know we have good ice. Then again, I dont have plowed ice roads here
