My country removed local council elections during an emergency and never reinstate it back. It would be nice to see how local elections are like because they are appointed. More FaceTime with the mayor I guess? Someone to air our dissatisfactions with the pot holes, cleanliness falls

@@E_Harekrishna Malaysia. Suspended in 1964 confrontation and made permanent 1976 with the government act. Now local government are appointed by state government. Been talks since 2008 by the “most” liberal party of our country and when they took power in 2018, nothing as well.
