EVGA has always been #1 for me when it came to quality of product, and their dedication to get the most out of their GPU’s and Motherboards was always so admirable. Not only the quality of the product themselves but also the quality of the service that came with it. Really sad to see them go (potentially forever from all markets), but I really respect their decision to move away from Nvidia. Wish they had gone AMD (don't think them going intel would have helped them nearly as much but would have done a lot for intel arc sales).

I, like many others, have always wanted an EVGA GPU. I always looked at it as the gold standard for GPUs. Too bad things happened that have. I blame Nvidia. They’ve become another too big company that needs to be broken up.

@@lunanescence I'm still using my EVGA 2080ti Black Edition (Dual fan, can't remember if there was a triple fan configuration of the black edition or not), I would LOVE to get a newer Gen card but my bank account often looks at me with malnourished sadness and says "no". This card is unbelievably already showing it's age haha. And it feels like the 2080ti these days (especially when it comes to benchmarks) is basically ignored, but I can understand why.

Certainly the end of an era with the passing of EVGA GPUs. The saddest thing is that there is no one else that comes even close to taking up the mantle of innovation that they were known for. RIP EVGA and long live the Kingpin.

some of the Aorus and RoG hardware came close, but nobody ever touched the ridiculousness that kingpin cards could push. soooo many records are due to vince and his team making some seriously insane hardware.

You get a few minor probe points clearly marked, multi bios, auto OC buttons and some kind of onboard display with higher end stuff from powercolor or gigabyte. But I don't know if all that even comes close to a kingpin card. Those solid copper heatsinks. Chefs Kiss! That's cooling done right.

EVGA pulling out of the graphics card market was nearly like losing a family member. I have used their products to all my builds over the years and as you can see even use their E logo as my avatar. Still a shock even today.

So many great ideas and such great innovations came from him and the people he worked with we all know he will continue to design and make the best whatever he makes, I'm surely hoping to get at least one more video card from him. Really got to love the dedication and enthusiasm that Vince pours into the engineering. Its all function over form to the point where the end product has an aesthetic that beats out anything only trying to look visually appealing and high performance. The all copper cooler there's a prime example, hard to find anything to nitpick or consider modifying for better performance, its so pretty!

That's really cool of Kingpin to do for you. Also, you're not a "walmart greeter", you're better than that. More like an intro to mid level professor (what you show at least, personal opinion is I think you're holding back) and don't mean that in a demeaning way. Your videos are enjoyable to watch and the enthusiasm from a hobbiest perspective shines through. When you want to be more serious about topics, it does show and think you downplay yourself a bit. You and your team are definitely capable of upping your video/information game. The way you try to break down information and not treat people like they're idiotic go a long way when teaching. You're all good people regardless any silliness that may occur and are willing to admit to any mistakes that may happen, which is fantastic. Keep doing what y'all do so we can have more people enjoying doing what we do. It’s crazy that when I was a kid growing up in China and Kingpin was known for his overclocking even to us. What a legend, never done overlock after I graduated from crappy AMD to locked Intel but salute to Vince and EVGA for pushing the limits.

That is a sign of deep respect and as we all know respect is earnt and Jay has certainly earnt it as have EVGA, I remember when Jay built a system for a new KZbinr who was done over by scumbags just as they were getting somewhere in followings and when Jay decided to do a presentation build to help them out EVGA without hesitation stepped up to the plate and helped out with some awesome hardware donations for the cause. That from both Jay and EVGA and no doubt KP himself is a true sign of decent caring people who deseerve all the respect and help they may ever need from loyal fans who are loyal because they recognise how to reward good decent people with ethics and honor. RIP EVGA Components we will miss them in the future but always cherish the memories of greatness they gifted us.

Very cool! I almost got a Kingpin card when I did my first personal build (980ti era). Did get an EVGA 1000w plat supernova power supply (overkill for my system but EVGA is the best). It is quite sad that EVGA and Kingpin won't be making any more GPUs.

The only EVGA product line that ever got negative reviews in the past seemed to be the DG cases. Still it would be great to see a full EVGA build inside one of those or combining the best with the best using evga motherboard, graphics card and power supply inside a DerBauer Lian Li case with a JayzTwoCents waterblock assembly

It was reliable, quiet and all round made me appreciate EVGA. Actually gutted that they're abandoning the market now. They have that sentimental spot in my PC building life.

Sour note from a long time EVGA fan. I've built many dozens to probably hundreds of systems over the last 2.5 decades and the _only_ vendor that never did me wrong was EVGA which was why any time I've had a choice in what to buy for a customer it was always EVGA. Having them scoop up Vince in the early days was just fitting to help move them from the little scrappy budget AIB they were at the time to one of the leading forces in GPUs. Here's hoping they don't close up shop as I still love my PSUs and peripherals from them. Looking forward to seeing where Vince lands as I'm sure it will be solidly on his feet. Maybe he'll start making overvolted e-bikes?

Since they are apparently working on a support for the Raptor Lake refresh on z690/z790 mobos I hope they give final love to X570 owners too. 4:00 thats my favorite graphics card of all time. the best looking one ever created (for my taste) I wish they had released it with a full copper heatsink! Back then before the gtx series a lot of copper was used in PC builds. Can u put the full copper cooler on ur gtx 1080 and test how much cooler it is? btw i relly hope EVGA comes back..

After 3dfx, I moved on to BFG for my graphics cards (with a small stint with ATI before ATI/AMD merger). After BFG, I became an EVGA enthusiast. Now I find myself looking for a GPU brand I can trust. Currently, I am sporting a Founder's Edition because I couldn't find, at the time, a GPU at MSRP except for the FEs.

I was using a EVGA GTX 470 until recently. I recently upgraded to a RX390X because it was handed down to me from my brother... because dual GPUs aren't utilize these days and doesn't need two. Diablo 4 runs smoothly on the RX390X using low settings.

I can relate missing evga Jay . they always had the best products when it came to price and performance/ quality and reliability. i have the EVGA GeForce RTX 3090 Ti [ K,NGP,N ] Hybrid Gaming in my system , as well as for power supplie the evga 1600 watt G+ supernova psu they never let me down in the past . EVGA really was a companny you can trust on and its sad to see them go but they earned as a passionated pc builder allso my everlasting respect . I built my first computer in 2009/10 using an EVGA mobo for an i7 920. Over the years, I've pgraded the heck out of that system (e.g. SSD for the OS, better HDDs, more/better RAM, better graphics cards). Although the system started with ATI graphics, the last two GPU upgrades were EVGA. Both cards have been solid. The mobo has always been solid. As a first time build, I researched as best as I knew how, not fully understanding throughput and bandwidth or how certain components complimented (or detracted) from one another. Nevertheless, throughout it all, that EVGA motherboard ALWAYS came through and 14-ish years later, it's STILL going. I've now purchased parts for my second-ever build and, once again, opted to go with an EVGA motherboard (the z790 Kingpin). Just got everything in last week. Hope to build in the next couple days. It pains me to think that I'll (eventually) have to use a non-EVGA card in this system. For now, I'll use my trustworthy 1080 ti until I can find a gently used EVGA 3090 ti ultra. And then . . . maybe never upgrade the GPU again. EVGA - long live the king.

The 1080 was a 1060 class card based on the silicon used it in. People seem to forget that the x104 die was the x60 series. It's unfortunate. But now hopefully with the world rejecting these prices we will get back to more sensible GPU costs.

I'm jealous! I wish I got the 3090Ti when I had the chance but didn't think I would've needed it already having the 3090 version. Really loved his designs for GPUs.

the crossfire / sli connector never reached it's theoretical possible output as the connector would average 50% (at best) transferable bandwidth, dinamically it rached 75% for more latency, the sli/crossfire would need the standard bandwidth of whatever connector is it being used dor. This meant that for a crossfire to work effectively as it should it would need a 16x 16x bridge 16x pcie lane and the scale can go down.

the bottleneck was cpu lanes and pcb traces design all this time.

EVT stands for Engineering Validation Testing. It’s usually the first phase in the development phase of hardware development, VERY early stage boards.

Really miss EVGA in the GPU market they had some of the best support and genuinely stood behind their products, if there was something wrong with a product when you got it or during the warranty time period the RMA process was simple and it worked no hassles. I only had to use it once in the 12 years I have been building my own gaming rigs and they replaced the GTX 1080 FTW2 with a new one in like 2 weeks!!! Unlike a certain company that will remain nameless that I've been waiting like a month and a half to get my 4080 replaced because of the melted pins :( but it is what it is. You got some super cool stuff from KINGPIN!!!
