I start thinking that Nvidia is going to be some kind of Apple, overpriced - peace of shit. And for now we see only overprice. I hope they will make its stuff cost less, because right now they got a lot of good things and features(drivers and etc. as well), but i simply can't effort it without some trades with other life-important things. So games and powerful-PC stuff always got delay to later. Yet i wish to get something better for GPU(since everything else step by step is updated). And this is where i probably will switch to Intel, but i have some concerns about it.

@@brodriguez11000 Not so sure about that. AMD cards are the best when comparing performance to price if you don't care about RT. Plus the whole cpu debacle didnt help them. Intel isn't going to catch either one of them after giving AMD the cpu market. But at the end of the day, I hope they do good. It would benefit us consumers.

NVidia is going the direction of car manufacturers. They're making bigger and bigger products with bigger and bigger prices. Eventually they'll be like car dealerships with cars sitting on the lot, because of they've become overpriced.

yeah, car manufacturers are making all their cars luxury cars with a high starting price and then they are wondering why they are not selling. because the average price of a new car is 45,000-55,000 dollars. @@kurtwinter4422 Because the limit is the human senses. We already got to the point where is possible to built in a passable audio amplifier, good enough to 90% of us. We aren't close enough this on a GPU: we still can (fairly easily) tell image from game and image from reality apart. Whe the integrated graphics starts delivering this kind of performance, the dedicated GPUs will be relegated to the professional market. Not before. And we have "meh" onboard network cards, that are fit for small use. When someone need to do serious network stuff, they buy a dedicated one.

When you don't have to go with a budget GPU it's easy to ignore how much this matters. I don't have the fastest GPU, (7900 XT) but I have caught myself laughing at the 4060. If someone on a budget can get a 4060, or an Intel GPU that lets them get the best bang for their buck, it does matter. The real growth in the hobby doesn't happen at the top end. I think AMD has realized that but so has Intel.

I don't think it has anything to do with the tier, but with the price, I would still be running my GTX 1080 if it didn't die, and that's a pretty much a top of the line card, but I only spent 250€. Then again, when it died I had to spend 630€ in a RTX 3070, that still only has 8GB or VRAM. So yeah, they either ramp up the performance of mid-tier, or lower down the price on the top-tier.

Remember, boils and ghouls. This is also their first round driver. Competing against established cards with many drivers since their release. Id imagine..and am confident in saying.. that further driver updates will only see these performance numbers increase. Pre-ordered and on the way. Cant wait to test this b580 card. This is a win for all.

I've been waiting for battlemage before even considering Intel. Having seen that the B580 is doing so good... I'm extremely tempted now to pull the trigger. Sitting on a 2070 non-super since it came out. Finally an upgrade that isn't also going to be overpriced. It's lovely to see, and I'm willing to deal with any issues/drivers/etc now that it's not an issue in nearly every single game.

I wish people outside US could buy these "consumer friendly" stuff that Americans claim about. Since cards like 6700xt and 7600xt are 400$+ and rare as unicorns while 4060 are 280-290. Not so consumer friendly if you don't live in the US

Jay. Only CCs like yourself and the ultra-gamer crowd are used to the huge, heavy and power sucking graphics cards. Most of us still use smaller lighter, lower power cards, so these new ARC cards are more like what we'd expect.
