I know how you feel about the towels and the washer being dirty afterward. What I do is I wash my cleaning rags as a load then wash like rugs right after since they are both gross, but don't want rug crap on my cleaning rags, and then I run a quick load with vinegar or bleach and hot water and its clean and ready when I wash my clothes.

Im so happy you are involving Christ. He really heals us, I dont have my dad and that broke me. I now have a eternal father to lean on.
