This playthrough notoriously is a meme and certainly augmented to hell, I think there's one or two covers out there though, so it's not impossible to play apparently. This performance just is augmented to be as over the top in every regard. And it's not like the guy can't play that, it's just quantized and sampled to fucks. But that's essentially the entire band; cranking Deathcore stereotypes to 11 with no need for human feel or whatever, its fully intended to be the way it is

@@zb695 yeah the most damning thing to me is the fact that there's not a single microphone to be found in the entire playthrough (drums aren't mic'd up) nor are there any trigger contacts. HOW ARE THEY CAPTURING THE SOUNDS?! Plus, he keeps his left foot beater buried in the bass drum when idle, which is... well, if you play with triggers, you know... :P TLDR: Aaron is a good drummer and the playing on this song is impressive, but he's miming under the studio track, which has who-knows-how-much editing. A GREAT counterpoint to this video would be Alex Pelletier from Despised Icon playing unbreakable. The title of the YT video is: "DESPISED ICON - Unbreakable (OFFICIAL DRUM PLAYTHROUGH)". Seriously, it's the same intensity and speed as the C*** Crusher video but a little more "believable". also, (stop me if you've heard this one before) Kevin Paradis is 100% worth a peep. I've been suggesting him every single video, and this one is no different! Check out: "Kevin Paradis - Benighted - Nails - Exclusive Drum Play-through".

I love when drum KZbinrs end up reacting to Aaron Kitcher and IA as a whole for the first time, it's like drum KZbin initiation at this point lmao. Anyway to clear up some of your doubts, from what I remember this video is legit but it wasn't played in one take, he played some parts and they clipped it all together at the end, that's why there are so many takes. But Aaron Kitcher can 100% play this legit, there's videos out there of him paying it, including the really fast double bass and gravity blast parts. As for Infant Annihilator as a band, they've always been very open about their use of programmed drums. Aaron doesn't write anything he can't play (according to them) but almost all of the drums for their albums are programmed on computer. That's not to say he can't play them, in fact you can check out an album by Rings of Saturn called "Lugal Ki En" for which Aaron Kitcher actually recorded most drum tracks himself, and they're almost on the same level as Infant Annihilator drums. As a last bit of information, both Aaron and Eddie Pickard (the guitarist for Infant Annihilator) also have an actual live touring band called Black Tongue, which is downtempo deathcore, much much slower than IA. But on some live shows they've played a few Infant Annihilator songs and Aaron pulled them off no problem. Hope all this helps a bit :)

So at what speed was he recording the video (i.e. by how much did he slow down the song to play along with it), because if you CAN actually play this song for real, at that speed, then you don't need a drum machine for the music because then he is deep into pro level extreme drumming. The video looks absolutely like it was sped up by a lot. I have dabbled with some Black Metal drumming and this video curls my toenails from looking at it. People can do and like what ever they want, and fast drumming today is has amalgamated with electronics to a high degree, but then taking that to a visual level is a level too much for me. If at least he would line up the hits with the sounds, that would be a bare minimum level of making it passable, but you can clearly see that many of the snare hits don't even line up with the sound. It becomes especially clear when you slow down the video to 0.5, then it turns into a mess that is a mix of comical and sad. From what I see there he can't play that! What ever he plays live has not much to do with the video above, unless he's had a few more years of intense practice since then.

Here’s the deal, this is not a live play through as far as the sound goes. Aaron Kitcher uses E-drums when recording IA songs. This video is showing what it would look like playing on an actual drum set. Kitcher plays a real drum set with his other band. This video was edited only to cut out the bloopers, but not sped up in any way. It is said that Kitcher will use programmed bass drums for the albums, but that he genuinely plays them himself before using them. They even show the bloopers at the end, but that in no way IMO takes away from what we see him doing on a real drum set, which was conceived and performed on an E-drum set

@yarpyarp85 don't get me wrong, Aaron is great on Black tongue band, but praising edited video and sped up drums doesn't feel right.🤷 Check some Ken Bedene,Kevin Paradis,Mike Smith,Pete Sandoval, Chason Westmoreland,Danny Carrey, Hannes Grossman, Krimh Kerim Lechnar,Lyle Cooper,Alex Rudinger,Romain Goulon of Necrophagist,Sean Reinart, Trym,John Longstreth. Those guys doesn't use sped up vids and they Slay.

not real. There are reasons why no seriously shot performance of ... moistflusher exists. the catch however is that it fits the lore. infant annihilator is supposed to be a parodyband. its extra for the sake of being extra. its not funny no, but the extreme it goes is straight slapstick. makes for really funny bullshit i cannot stop laughing at. but only a ten yr old would take his "performance" seriously.
