Have just seen a few songs live with Andrew singing Tilians parts live on KZbin. Hes a really good singer and i love his tone, so dont missunderstand me, but he struggles to hit Tilians notes and often sings an octave down. But i will say that the parts on One mans cringe and for the Jeers when Tilian and Andrew are singing back and forth with eachoter is pure gold, and i would like to see more of that in the future. Depending on Tilian coming back off course.

@@patriksoderlund6428 For The Jeers is my favorite song on the album purely because of Andrew, he's so good. @@patriksoderlund6428 that and since Andrew sings in a lower register, Will has to tune down his guitar to match Andrew’s range, which then forces Jon to sing in a lower register and he’s been struggling with that as well
@patriksoderlund64282 жыл бұрын
@@natedog8281 yeah, and as i said i never ment that Andrew is a "worse" singer than Tilian just because he cant sing as high. The discussion was that Tilian has bring the new sound with his high pitch singing and DGD has to take another direction with their sound if Andrew take over lead and Tilian leaves.
@natedog82812 жыл бұрын
@@patriksoderlund6428 I 100% agree and I love Andrew, but yeah he struggles with some of Tilian’s parts, which isn’t vocally viable for him long term, same with Jon being forced to scream lower to match the tuning of the other instruments. They can’t keep performing these songs the way they are now for too much longer. Andrew most likely won’t be the new lead vocalist cuz he’s stated multiple times he has no desire to be the lead vocalist. He doesn’t mind filling in, but he does want to do leads permanently. Ik a lot of people want Kurt back also, but he would also suffer from the same problem and would not be able to perform Tilian’s songs. If they ever get a new vocalist, it would have to be someone who has a similar range as Tilian so each member can perform all their songs effectively. But that’s probably not going to happen cuz Tilian is still technically in the band, just taking a short hiatus

if you like DGD, you might like The Fall Of Troy's song FCPREMIX. they arent as clean or danceable, and they are generally more gritty and fast, but in my opinion they fall in the same category. cleans and harsh vocals doing their own thing in the same song, with wacky guitars and solid drums too. Check them out

You should react to either Current Events or Back On Deck from their newest album! Back On Deck has some of my favorite DGD drums and Current Events has a big section towards the end done vocally by the second vocalist Andrew, and his voice is pretty amazing too!
