I'd cover it more in the animation tutorial but yes, I have used that so far because it's a 16:9 ratio and a midium size for web browsers.

Thank you! A lot of people just jump into doing all of this tutorial stuff, and seem to neglect the fact that there are those, like myself, who have never had the chance to use the program, and would first have to go through the headaches of trying to learn the program before any of the tutorials would be useful. I went to a school that had classes in Flash, but while I was there, I never had the chance to actually take one of those classes. (Why where they offered standard for Game Art and Design, but not Media Arts and Animation, I will never know.) But, if I could ever work up enough money to get my own version of Flash, it's nice to know I've found some where to learn it.

elitpeR Yeah, but those often come with problems, or missing parts. I'd just prefer to have the full copy that I know is going to work correctly, and will have support if I ever have a problem with it. Also, you can do monthly subscribe with programs like this.

If you're in into Flash but can something that is supported on all platforums (mainly apple devices) then I recommend Edge Animate.

Don't know if it's way too late to ask a question here but I'll try. Once when I worked with a two-colored line (that I created with line tool), I discovered that I could bend the line as a whole (with selection tool). Other times I can only bend one colored piece at a time. My work would get a lot easier if I could bend the whole two-colored line as a whole but I don't know how I do that. Appreciate any help I can get!

What is the shortcut to remove lines that are outside of an area. (Example: I'm drawing a face and I accidentally make the hair or w/e cross through the head. I only want to remove the lines that are outside of the area.)

Hello! Is it possible to import previously designed music or dialogue tracks from audacity to flash so animation can be synced up with it? Also, how many frames can be used/created before the scene or clip has to be filed or exported to windows movie maker for additional editing? In other words, what's the maximum possible run time for any animation in the version you're using? Thanks.

Thanks so much for these videos. But I have an odd question. I have an old version, Flash CS 2004. It does not export to avi well at all -- you lose sync with sound, and animation becomes jerky. I'm thinking of buying a computer with CS4 already installed -- OEM, refurbished -- do you know if CS4 exports well? I'm assuming the version you're currently using works properly -- or do you use something else to help the process along? Thanks so much for your time.

Make sure you are downloading the "stand alone" version, or you will only be installing the compatibility, which allows FireFox, Google Chrome, Opera, Safari, et cetera to play and/or operate flash files properly. I use Flash Player 10-r14, if you can find it (last time I went looking I couldn't find it, and I can't remember where I got it this last time, sorry) I hope that helps! PS Not sure if it's possible for you, but I'd highly suggest upgrading to a more recent version of Windows, or downgrading to XP, as Vista has some pretty low compatibility with many programs. Not a big deal, but I thought I'd add that. Hope you find what you're looking for, Plumppla.
