I know that you normally don't do such videos but hands down, thats one of the best organized and explained tutorials for image manipulation I have ever seen! Not to complex for beginners and even good tips for intermediate users.

I kind of have a question you can do a desert kind of wasteland but what about a more forest kind of feel. I mean like citys covered in nature trying to take over the large buildings with crack roads,windows paint or bits of building coming off, with old cars rotting away on the roads.

Using google images is usually a bad idea, quite a few of the images are under copyright protection laws and you could get in legal trouble for using them in commercial work or any kind. There are a lot of stock image sites that are made for this sort of thing though, just make sure to check the rules of the individual photos.

Actually for a video like this, i do a rough edit then write a script that explains the process following the narrative of the edit, then i record the audio speaking the script at my own pace, then i refine the edit to line up with my voice recording.

I know that you need to practice but I want a schedule to be more clean instead of trying things out (which mostly leads to a bunch of scrables). So how do you guys get started with drawing? Do you start with drawing figures to items ot something? I want to hear you guys beginning experience of drawing that I might trying out :).

@empresspyra8 жыл бұрын
+Krisztián Szirtes There is an option in google image filters for "reuse with modification" and there are a number of good websites that have decent hd pictures that are public source. www.pixabay.com for instance. :) It's tricky but not impossible to navigate image sourcing

It's funny that when someone gets popular, their audience tends to go blind. I'm surprised no-one can realise this is a ridiculous product placement. I hate being that guy but, I didn't even bother with this video. I love you Jazza but this is 100% product placement and it has nothing to do with your expertise, and we can see that the result won't represent someone who has almost 500k subscribers. You could perform a landscape drawing/painting tutorial based on the movie, a character cartoonization or whatever else instead. There are experts on this theme like Howard Pinksy or BakaArts for strictly photo manipulation tutorials, and they are pretty damn good at what they do. Don't ruin your channel for some extra money...
@Jazza8 жыл бұрын
+Alexander Raptakis I'm aware that sponsored content can be something that grates people, which is why I am very careful to not take everything that comes my way (and these days a lot comes my way), I reject a lot more than I get offered and when I do take on a sponsored video, I only do so if I feel the content fits well and if I honestly believe I WANT to make content that will help, educate or entertain my viewers. I'm sorry if you don't feel that way about this video, or all videos that get sponsored, but the reality is, ad revenue doesn't keep my son fed and clothed or pay my mortgage - not even close - so I do the best I can to create honest products that people can enjoy, and cooperate with brands that see the value in my content, all the while doing so with integrity being my highest priority. It's either that, or I pick up a day job and have less priority for my KZbin content and community. I hope you understand where I'm coming from, and know that I'm going about this in the best way I possibly can, and that being said, I take feedback like yours seriously. Thank you for sharing your thoughts.
@redeye9988 жыл бұрын
+Draw with Jazza I never said that you shouldn't do sponsored videos, I know that KZbin has a ridiculous policy that hurts artists and especially animators. But I simply can't understand why you decided to go with a photo manipulation tutorial. Why, why, why?!? As I said before, you could easily go with a concept based on your expertise. Fan art, speedpaintings, cartoonization of the movie's characters, or even landscape concepts (in Jazza style of course), which by the way has an extremly high demand and will attract even more audience. It's not that I dislike your work, not at all. I am just very confused by your decision, because up until now, the quality of your content is really high, which means you have the ability to figure out if the results are good or bad. Anyway, I'm sorry for the negative energy. I hate it when I do it, but it's because I like you and I got used to your high quality content.
@Jazza8 жыл бұрын
+Alexander Raptakis If you watch the actual video (which you said quite clearly you didn't bother to do) you'd notice there's a lot of manual painting, and techniques shared which are very helpful to illustrative uses in programs like photoshop. That being said, there are loads of videos on my channel (without sponsors) that are very different from my usual 'how to draw' style videos. Here's a few: kzbin.info/www/bejne/a6vXiJidqriHhbs kzbin.info/www/bejne/foe6dWeJac-XjpI kzbin.info/www/bejne/foOUZZaJoMh3o80 kzbin.info/www/bejne/n4KTgYmgqrmSpKs kzbin.info/www/bejne/jIqsgYRoa9mtqpY kzbin.info/www/bejne/ipKQgKGmqbqEidE kzbin.info/www/bejne/bmPNpmhqrrKpqpY kzbin.info/www/bejne/nGrEdqmondiXkKM There are loads more but I hope my point is coming across. This isn't a 'how to draw' youtube channel. It's a 'how to create art' channel, and sponsorship or no, I am very proud of how this video turned out and wouldn't have released it unless I felt 100% that it's the kind of video I would release without a brands backing. I'm willing to take your feedback on board, but I also hope you're willing to see that I woulld never EVER sacrifice the quality of my content for the sake of a buck. Once again, I appreciate your honesty and sharing your thoughts with me.
@YesCh3f8 жыл бұрын
+Alexander Raptakis Wouldn't you have to watch the full video to be able to judge what the quality of it is? I personally liked this video because it has, for me, a more practical use.... I also think learning photo manipulation can come in handy in this day and age ;)
