The Conn 9A is very like my old Olds Recording Cornet. I bought it while in high school, 1957. It looks as if these two cornets with their copper lead-pipes and bells were direct competitors. Is that the so. Thank you for your remarkable demo.!!! My stand-mate in H.S. bought a long Conn cornet. Fun history your present.

So much info, great demos and great sound and playing. After 60 years of playing, I'm enjoying so much all this fabulous information. Thanks Trent.

Thoroughly enjoyed watching you geek out on the Conns. I love them as well, have way too many that just sit in the case year after year, and as you know, are just soooo many of them out there, they are dirt cheap compared to the quality vs. dollars spent. I'm sure, Thad Jones is looking down and smiling every time you fire up the 28-A.

Hi. I inherited a Conn Cornet after my father passed away. I know nothing about cornets. I have what appears to be the original case with the warranty card and registration card. It says it’s a Model 5A21. Do you know if this is a model 5A? It looks a lot like the one you played in this video. If it is a 5A, any idea what the 21 means? Thanks.
