Wow, such a nice sounding little horn, Trent, and a killer value at $400 ESPECIALLY after you and your crew perform those very nice enhancements. If I wasn't primarily a keyboardist I'd be a ACB regular. Keep up the great job, Trent.

I just got mine today in silver; sharp looking horn. Love it! What size mouthpiece ships with it? The one that came with mine played quite well. I didn’t see any markings.

Thanks so much! The mouthpiece is around a 5c

I just ordered one of these in the satin lacquer. I can't wait to blow some tunes through it.

What mouthpiece do you recommend for that dark tone?

Coach I know you’re sensitive to stuffy Cornets ( i share that with you ) ...my question is does the double trigger big bore model you offer still feel resistant to you? I’ve always heard that it’s the size of the lead pipe that determines the openness to an instrument. By the way you’re a tremendous Cornet player weather you want to admit it or not 😀 ( regardless I am in the market for a Shepard’s crook Cornet I like the proximity to my ears)

This horn feels good with a b-cup or similar. I prefer the resistance and feel of a trumpet so playing cornets is always a bit of a challenge for me. Thanks so much for watching and your kind words.

This video sold me on buying the "demo" Doubler you had for sale this past Monday, which arrived Wednesday, and I've played hours a day since. I hadn't played a cornet 10 minutes in my entire life until this week, being a trumpet guy. QUESTION: The Doubler came with your standard, unstamped mouthpiece. The fellow I spoke with said it was about a 3C. Supposedly a Yamaha 14b4 is as well, and this is a good bit deeper than a 14b4. I was wondering how the standard mpc this comes with compares to the one you're using in this video? (If yours is deeper or shallower, etc). Loving the horn. Though, since I already own the Doubler flugel, does this count as a Tripler? :-D

We have a few factories in China that make the doublers series of horns to our specs then we personally modify and optimize every one once they arrive here in our KC shop.

Wow! Love the tone as well if not better than the Adam's cornets

Anyone know of the BlowDry product ACB sells is good for this cornet? And cornets in general? I believe this Doubler’s is a ml bore. Also, any idea when doubler’s cornet in satin is due in?

Yes it works on cornet

Since you also emailed the shop we will reply to that instead of this question too 😁

I actually prefer a liar holder especially on trumpets. I know it changes the resonance or something but it's practicality is tremendous especially in college

One of the things I think about when I see these videos is I wish these demos had some snippet of music that was the same in each video. It could be something like a Bb Major scale or even Twinkle, Twinkle Little Star to make comparing one instrument to one that may have been demoed six or eight months ago. No one ever does that. Granted the snippet would not be of any real length, but it would be consistent from one horn the the next. This might take the guess work away from someone wavering between two or three different manufacturers or even models of an instrument. Just my thoughts. After hearing something like this I wish I played a brass instrument. I am a big fan of this company and these videos.

I think I can explain this-- no matter what selection is chosen, it's going to favor some instruments more than others. The only way to avoid this is to use multiple such selections, and then there would be no time for letting the instrument lead the player to fertile grounds.
