Sadly, Gil's messages remain as relevant as ever, whether he's singing about addiction, war, or social injustice. A legend and an inspiration. Now with the spirits.

When you heard him heads not only bopped but minds and hearts were in tune with the person next to you.Gil's death was a hard piece to hear. The voice of the revolution will be missed....but the message he left will live on forever...ya feel me?

I'm blessed not only that of a young age i found out about Gil and admired hes music and he's voice very much. Somewhere at the end of the 80's I saw Gil Scott Heron performing live. One of those Concerts i will never forget. He stated the show with a song i cant remember, but it started with he's voice and electric piano only. What a warm feeling. I was blown away. 💜

Yea, all of you be subject one to another, and be clothed with humility: for God resisteth the proud, and giveth grace to the humble. [6]Humble yourselves therefore under the mighty hand of God, that he may exalt you in due time: [7]Casting all your care upon him; for he careth for you. [8]Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil, as a roaring lion, walketh about, seeking whom he may devour: [9]Whom resist stedfast in the faith, knowing that the same afflictions are accomplished in your brethren that are in the world.
