A poet, a troubadour, a prophet, a visionary. Gil brought enlightenment to the discourse on many socio-political and economic subjects of the day. And, to his credit, started the conversation where there was none, but some was badly needed. Rest in peace my brother. Listen...if you will...to his THE OTHER SIDE....a reversion of HOME IS WHERE THE HATRED IS...recorded in the 1990s. A junkie singing "Mama don't need to see me this way....know me this way...touch me this way...love me this way." It makes me cry every time I hear it.
