Tasha did one but it was one of those none-charlestones with weird music. My other 2 favourites were Caroline Flack to 'Istanbul and Faye with Gio to the 'Lonely goat'....all proper Charlestons'

This dance style reminded me of Patrick Robinson’s Charleston with Anya to Chitty Chitty Bang Bang. Both brilliant routines! Loved it! Hope JB gets to the final! Fingers crossed 🤞🏼

Score - *9* Wasn't a 10 in my opinion, the lift at 1:18 wasn't the cleanest and there was slight sync issues, I still think JB's couple's choice and Samba are on another teir compared to this, but that's being really really picky because there's so much here to love, I loved all the traditional steps, the concept was right up my street, his swivel was perfect, I absolutely loved the little section from 0:49 to 0:53 the twist they put on it was so quirky and it really never lost energy throughout. It was so full on and packed with content. I think he looked way more comfortable this week and Lauren knocked it out of the park once again with choreography, I really could see them in the final!!

Oh my god, what a routine! Thank god Tasha got a 40 because if another phenomenal 40-worthy dance was robbed of the perfect score like this was, then the judges would probably have to be replaced. This was incredible! He had the energy, he had the comedy, he was even better than the professional at times. I think it’s safe to say that this is the best Charleston of this series. This is just flawless dancing. 10

Next is JB and Lauren dancing the Charleston. Loved the classical style and song for this dance, big fan of a good Charleston I am, I think this dance needed to be a little quicker, JB's energy was a little slower than I would have liked if he speeds up the dance speeds up, I have seen that for certain dances like the Charleston if the dance is going slower than the viewer expects than it has someing to do with the speed of the pair, the energy speeds up so will the dance. I thought the lift in the middle of the dance was poorly done 1:18 - 1:20 and there was some messy footwork that needs sorting out but other than that I thought this dance was amazing and I think this dance was made for this pair. really loved this dance.

If it hadn’t been for that messy lift at 1:18 - 1:20, I would have scored this one point higher. (I can’t recall for sure, but I *think* I gave it a 9.) The dance WAS excellent, but I didn’t feel that it truly merited a 10.

Proper charleston to a proper tune too ,this is more like it strictly , enjoyed this, lots of charleston content & qwerky , fun expressions ,lifts ( although weren't all clean ) This is how i used to dress goin to 1920,30,40,do's now JB can i have my shoes back please lol 🤣🤣.............. & lauran with a blonde bob really suits her i nearly didn't recognise her lol

Can someone please explain to me at what point JB (allegedly) "nearly dropped Lauren" people have banging on about it all weekend. The nearest thing I can see is when she goes up over his head and down his back, but he doesn't let go of her ankles until she's got a hold on his thighs and he has to let go so he can pull her up in front ?? I'm so confused, I thought it was wonderful.
