HI there, I am thinking about purchasing one of these for the sole purpose of removing my God awful speed limiter (130 mph SMH) on my BMW 440I XDrive MPPSK (MSport/Tracking Handling). However, in the default mapping will this mess with my MPerformance tune? I might also try out the different mappings but can I remove this in the future and not worry about voiding my warranty? Considering this does not require a reflash, I don't see why not.

Should only modify the Vmax variable and set it to an absurdly high number or to 189mph that most German “drivers package” cars can be optioned with. This is weird because the MPPS kit if I recall shouldn’t have the base 130mph limited.

Just an FYI if sensor doesn’t come out after you pull tab out you might just have to pull on the sensor super hard and it’ll come out. Just dont cut yourself when it comes out like me

@@treeezy1472 there's really not much to ziptie it to under the hood of an G2x 3/4-series with the B58 engine. Fairly tight clearance to the hood and other compartments. Last thing I'd want is that metal box getting loose under the hood and making contact with a belt spinning at 7500rpm. Also, the metal box has no insulation around it to prevent it from rattling against other things it touched like plastic or metal. A poor design compared to the small JB+ or other similar plug and play tuners that have better ways to mount them.

Hello, great tutorial. I wanted to have a custom tune applied at my local speed shop. I purchased the Brand new JB4 wireless set up after watching your video. How can a speed shop access the JB4? It didn't come with additional cables to hook up to a laptop. So it seems that the only way is through my phone. Is their any information that you can provide so I can get a custom tune done ie: tools or sights specifically for tuners? We were unable to see a way to connect without my phone.

@@aiogamershack2216 yes, I purchased a data cable to hook it to a lap top. However I also found that they were not able to improve upon the original maps. So taking it to a speed shop was a waist of time. The best method I found was to send burgertuning my recorded pulls and they sent me the values to enter on my end. They provided me maps to use as well as fuel mixture.

@@aiogamershack2216 I would without hesitation recommend Burgertuning and the JB4. I have a lease and it's under warranty. I have had numerous repairs done under warranty. It was simple to uninstall and install. I do have some professional mechanical experience so the word "simple" is subjective. The product is great the customer service is better.

@@aiogamershack2216 it can be a pain at times. I had a few bumps in the road but with the help from the community and emailing Burgertuning when I hit a wall really helped. They usually respond within 24 hrs. Really helpful.

@@Onthreego808 depends on what goes wrong. If your seat motor breaks then the JB4 cannot be blamed. If the drivetrain or fuel system fails it can be directly attributed to the modification then your warranty would not pay. Google the “Magnuson moss act” for a detailed explanation of when car warranties can be void due to aftermarket modifications.
