⛔️ *BEFORE OPENING YOUR SPEAKER* ⛔️ Make sure you have a very good grip on those screws. I wasn’t holding one firmly enough and the magnet yoinked it right out of my grasp. I didn’t have any needle nose pliers handy so I had to use my tiny screwdriver and my finger to get enough purchase on the screw to overpower the magnet and put it back where it came from.

I've had my charge 4 three to four years now. It's been dropped more times than I can count and from various heights. Last week I started on my day listening to my speaker, where on 2 different occasions I turned down the volume for no more than 10 seconds. After doing it a second time, realizing I can turn my music back up.. When I attempted to turn it up, I realized it powered off. It wasn't idle long enough and was fully charged. That was the last time use. Now I have it all apart. 1st thing i'd like to do is replace the battery. Does anyone know where , cost, etc.

I think its the power IC chip malfuntion, or maybe it is a battery problem. But I sugest you take your speaker to trusted local repairshop, they know what to check and what to do

so JBL charge 3 has two speakers for stereo, but it has only one? how is it then better (??) than charge 3? evel flip 3 has two of them.

The charge 4 is (1) mono speaker is better bass quality more bass

It's a larger speaker which allows it to get lower in frequency. The trade-off is that the treble doesn't sound as crisp and clear compared to a speaker with a dedicated tweeter, like the charge 5.

I accidentally ran over mine with my car all the outside components held well but the speaker does not turn on or charge any ideas 💡 of how to figure it out. I tried contacting jbl but they don’t repair speakers outside of warranty. I’d hate to toss it.

One speaker of this size is not adequate for good spatial separation. You mate two Charge4 speakers together with an app to produce stereo. ;)

@@X-i-l-e-n-t there are many models waterproof and portable stereo speakers. Including from JBL: Essential. I own sbs xb22...the sound is awesome, fills the front of a room with wideness sound, but the battery is old and shitty in cold conditions :(
