Sorry fellas but when it comes to speakers, size matters. Though both speakers share the same design, the bigger one has the fuller, richer sound because of the better bass. It's just not a fair fight. Like the boxing analysts say, the good big guy beats the good little guy.

What do you think is better? The Charge 4 or Xtreme? I think the Xtreme has around a 15 hour battery but is it louder with better bass?

Had the speaker for less than 2 months and when I plug it in, the 1 light blinks but it doesn’t charge. When I turn it on, the Bluetooth pairs and it immediately turns itself off. Tried resetting it and everything. Had the charge 3 for less than 2 months as well and one of the speakers blew out. Never had either of them at full blast for very long. Done with jbl for good 😔

Its cute what they did with the design getting maximum efficiency out of a tiny driver with some radiators and air space but without the use of a second driver its seriously lacking in response. Distinctively loud and boomy

Bought one. Returned it the next day. It had a 2-foot range... literally. If my phone was more than two feet from the speaker, the BT connection dropped.

You can't. USB are only for charging the speaker (USB C) and charging other devices (USB A)

Yes, I think so. JBL likely won't release a new model for a few more years. This speaker should be toward the top of its class for at least a few more years.

The greatest difference between JBL Charge 3 and JBL Charge 4 is the microphone, I mean there is no microphone in JBL Charge 4 at all! This is the biggest disadvantage, but none of the so called KZbin experts tells us about it. Thank you all for hiding this important information from your followers!

If you compare it to a shitty ass 10 dollar gas station or even dollar store speaker then yes, the speaker sounds superb. Comparing this to a high fi speakers it does sound muddy, washed. Keep yourself away from high fidelity. You will be disappointed with everything else.
