I have the flip 6 and usually play it at 70 to 80% when I'm out doors. I get roughly... 5 ish hours of play. I max the bass out so it might vary for the person playing mostly vocals

It's difficult to tell because a lot is lost in the recording. Even with binaural mics there is frequencies lost and physical feedback from the lows that affect the experience, having said that, from what i can tell the 2x Flip 6 beats the 1x Charge 5 in openness and definition, i would expect that the lower frequencies would be better from the Charge 5 just due to physics but can't tell from here.

Yup. Every showcase video that compares sony and jbl has me thinking "jesus jbl sounds so much better, who in their right mind would pick sony over jbl?". I went to a store one day and compared them myself, Sony was SO much better irl that I'm shocked to this day. Never trust youtube videos when it comes to buying an audio system. Maybe watch it so you get an idea what to test in the shop, but don't base your decision on a video

I've definitely wondered how the Flip 6 stacks up against the Charge 5 on sound quality. And while I already have a home sound system, I can easily see two of the Flip 6 (especially at its current Amazon sale price of $99.95 each) being set up as an inexpensive living room sound system. It would allow for a wider soundstage than JBL's similarly priced 2.0 soundbar, and having a sound system that's portable enough for you to take it with you on a trip or over to a friend's place would be the cherry on top.

Thanks for the review mate. I had a charge 4 for a few years and was really impressed with it. I just gave it to my son and upgraded to the Charge 5 and am very happy with it. The big thing I picked up from your review was that when pared in stereo mode the two Flip 6s had a clear clean sound whereas the Charge 5 alone had a deeper warmer sound. The flip 5 had better mids and lows then the 6. The 6 is just really clear sounding, but from what I experienced, the flip 5 had a very good deep, punchy full sound.. but I kept the flip 6 only because it’s water and dust resistant so I can go to the beach, also notifys you if the port is wet, and the JBL logo looks cool. Still can’t go wrong with any depending on how you want to use it and where you want to bring it.

@@13zplays I got boths, and 6 is probably behind Flip 5, i mean, it doesnt have a balanced sound like the Charge 5 and doesnt sound as deeper as Flip 5. The twetter is very present and the highs take the main sound of the speaker while the woofer go to oblivion at 80% then theres a bit of sound saturation too, like the Flip 4 theres a problem in the high volumes that isnt balanced yet, i hope Flip 7 gonna become a monster as Charge 5.

I have all three!! But honestly, I think 2 flip 6's would be better....I prefer the xtreme 3 over the charge 5 for loud music, and prefer a flip 6 over the charge 5 for on the go bumping sounds.

@anjaneen the charge 5 is indeed bulky and the worse part is that there is nothing to hold the speaker with. For example, the flip 6 has a carrying lanyard, and the xtreme 3 has the carrying strap.... but the charge 5 has nothing and can only be handled by the actual speaker itself!! Also, the rubber feet on the charge 5 are poorly glued on to the bottom and after a lil while they begin falling off

I think I like the sound of the flip 6’s better. A little more open and clear and you could probably turn up the bass in the app. The charge 5 sounds muddier and is bigger of course.

Great video! Went to best buy today to get a flip 6 and after about 45 minutes, decided on the charge 5. The sound was definitely a deciding factor. Especially after a price match brought the charge 5 close to price of the flip 6.

I had 2 JBL flip 6 speakers in a stereo pair for a week but one of the flip 6’s would not hold a charge and I tried different chargers but I figured out it was the speaker. The other JBL worked fine so I kept it. I really like the sound quality on the flip 6. But I never got to do a full test

so I thought that you could only pair 2 of the same speakers to get stereo. However I have the flip 6 and the jbl charge 5 and found that if you pair them together by pressing without the app and then go into the app once they've been paired, IT LETS YOU DO STEREO!!! I was literally about to order another charger 5 to get stereo but there's no need now, I'm so happy I get to save money. But the sound is amazing now

I have both I mean (1 charge 5 and 2 flip 6 😅) I decrease 10% volume in charge 5 and all sound at same level. The sound is amazing. I cemented them with Mac and the problem is volumn can’t be control by keyboard (column up/down) so i will be glad if you know anyway to solve it.

I think it's great for a running club. if you want blast music while you run it's better to mount 2 x JBL Flip 6 on a back and they should fit in a water bottle pouch

Charge has more mid freq 200-2000Hz. Flip has hole between 260-530 Hz comparig both recordings and subtracting their bands. Both sound far away from HiFi because of terrible distortion at high frequencies. To listen to this you need to have good company or couple of beers - eventually both at ones ;) Great video! Cheers!

Very good video and I think the idea you had was to have a strong speaker and two mids, buying the charge 5 and the two flip 6s. I have the charge 5 and the flip 5 and the extreme 3 and I have linked all three and believe me they lose a little power when linked. I don't know why I expected the sound to be louder in the ones that I have verified that their sound doubles. It is in the clip extreme mini. Try them for less but by joining them, wow.

I can show u how to gain everything in ur jbl speakers without losing anymore bass or highs.. I used my Samsung a32 dolby atmos to set it clear,, first go to the dolby atmos in ur settings enable it and in there click the adapt sound turn it on to over 60 years old ( is for boosting all frequencies) then click the setting behind 😉 it u will see something like sound preference put it in soft 😉 then enjoy ur music all the way to 100 💯 percent volume I do tried it on my jbl charge 5 TL model and love it better than ND model.. sorry guys I didn't have page on my KZbin cause of low background...

I know I'm not new stuff tv but I think you should get the charge 5 or flip 6. because the extreme three is very big so its harder to carry around and its twice the price of a charge 5 or flip 6 .
