Back in the 70's , here in" Chicag😎 " . Journey would play 3 night weekends. I would attend all 3 night's , , , Steve Perry " era " Jonathan Cain on keys🎹 ( he wrote " Faithfully ).( Ross Valiery bass🎸) ,( Steve Smith drums ). ( Neil Schon Lead 🎸 ). Neil played in Carlos Santana's band as s teen. " They were Phenomenal at the concerts" . Steve's voice was off the Hook ! ! , ". 💜🇺🇸🎶🎤👆🙏🙌

@@vinceschouten46 He still does play with Carlos from time to time. BTW Steve and band members used to order Pizza from me when he was in town visiting his Grandma (I think). I ran into at various places including the local bowling alley where they were playing pinball (this was in the small town of Hanford, California). Really nice guys and they had nice motorcycles.

Making great music was the main goal, making money was the result, now it's about making a quick buck with whatever's popular right now and most music ends up sounding catchy, but unoriginal, therefore most of it won't stand the test of time like most music from the 20th century has, even some one hit wonders are better than some so called artists entire discographies right now lol

Your so right, the music in this country can't compare because back then it wasn't just about making tons of money.People had talent and wanted to express it. BTW i've been married to the same man for 40 years. It hasn't been easy but we hung in there through the bad times and didn't jump the ship when thing got bad, as so many do today! Also, it doesn't matter what color you are, we all bleed red blood, we are all brothers and sisters in this human race and have to lift each other up not tear each other down. Peace out!

I’m so glad you focused on Journey. As an “Old Timer” who saw them live on 3 occasions...concert tickets ran $12.00 so we could...there were many goosebumps during their shows. My generation had to learn how to play and sing on one recording take. That is until recording companies went to using 8 tracks. Now the music is overly processed via Autotune and the quality is not there for many. Some Artists can play and sing but it’s rare. I’m glad you enjoyed this song. It’s still amazing after all these years. Peace.

Sometimes we get so amazed by the great lyrics and perfect voices of Journey, Styx, and Foreigner that we forget to appreciate how incredibly talented they were as musicians on guitar, keyboard, and drums. We just don't hear bands play instruments like this anymore.

I don't think "you people" was a racial slur. Simply meant you people that do reaction videos. When I first started watching reaction videos, it seemed as though everyone was reacting to the same songs, not just the same type of songs. I wanted to see reactions to different songs, not the same ones over and over. But now I like comparing reactions to the same song. It is nice to see younger people liking my generation's music. Keep it up!

Steve Perry has one of THE most beautiful voices in the world, second only to Freddie imo. Please do "Lovin' Touchin' Squeezin'", one of Journey's best!💙 And you're right. Artists of the 60's, 70's, into the 80's had more heart & soul (& talent) than just about any you hear today. And I'm talking about both black & white. I grew up listening to both. There's a big difference between now & then.

I've seen Journey 3 times now, twice with Arnel on vocals, and once with stand-in Jeff Scott Soto back in 2006. All great shows. Both singers extremely capable of representing those Steve Perry classics, but man oh man, I would be all over the chance to see Steve front the band for one more tour and would gladly break my wallet to do so.

I remember being 17 when this was a new song. I saw them that year in 83. Some of the travel footage is from Central Florida where I saw them. Still one of the best concerts ever to me. Man I would love to go back to that time for a while. So much great music.

Their concerts were nothing short of phenomenal. I continue to come to your channel not only for the music and your reactions but because you have such a sweet soul. Have you listened to Mama Cass Elliott from the Mamas and the Papas? Powerhouse. Janis Joplin could blow your socks off.
