You have the pattern for the brackets! (Think cardboard aided design, cad !😉) then find a local place to flame cut you some more out, weld these to a euro headstock and you have something VERY useful, plus you still have the original digging bucket if needed. Snowball Engineering cuts brackets out regular. I did this to a David Brown loader and it works a treat. HTH

We had an Industrial MF 50B. In the Summer we took off the back acter leaving the square carrying beams. Put 6 concrete kerb stones on them and had a bale fork on the front. Handy to have in the yard to unload round bales when they came out in the 70s

Thanks for sharing the 3c it brings back memories of living in the U.K driving , rebuilding and selling the old girls in the 90's, I've got a 3D3 build 5 here in Canada now with extend a hoe but no 4in 1. That cabs savable i've done way worse ! rebuild the bottom sides and back with 2" (50x50 mm) box before you do anything else to keep the shape/ dimensions. take it off then start cutting and welding flat sheet in where needed. For the bottom corners of the cab roof and the front/ rear where the lights are I used to take an old cut off piece as a template to my local fab shop and he'd fold full length repair sections, with time and doing it right you'll never know it's the same cab. I wish I could show you the pics of the last 3c3 cab I did. That early front axles crap steering anyway, any wear in the whole axle assembly is amplified by the ram going back to the chassis pulling the wheels as any component play moves , later ones had the ram on the axle having roaded a rebuilt early one and my worn 3D the difference is still night and day better. you'll probably find the king pins are knackerd not just bushings , the one that goes on the RHS my buddy used to grind the weld off the bottom mark the position of the pin to the stub axle press the pin out build it up and turn it back stock and weld the pin back in. The other side is the same size as an old JCB hydraulic rod he'd cut and drill the hole then press the new shaft in and weld it in like the other side. It looks like the adjustable wear plates on the front need replacing and tightening up and look at the center pin/bushings that makes a huge difference to if the axles not rocking back/ forward or side to side, depending how far you want to go i think there is plates welded to the axle support at the back and i think one I had to weld and grind the wear in the axle faces flat as well to get it way better. well thats enough of my experience, looking forward to seeing more of yours with the old girl. . Edit I'll just add from memory when the front buckets off they are real back heavy and wheelie easily, your spike/quick attach set up needs to be heavy to keep the front end down even with the backhoe folded in. Take care

Old girl looks ok for her age 🤔 driven many back hoes in my time and hated the JCBs 🤣 we used one as an extra loader for farm work and it was so clumsy until we took the backhoe of and fitted a counter balance 👍 big difference but still a clumsy bugger 🙄🤣🤣🤣
