I’ve always loved the JCM 900 high gain dual reverb. It was my first tune amp I got when I was 16. The speaker choice used with the 900 makes a world of difference. The 90s G12t75s aren’t everyone’s cup of tea and can make the 900 sound a bit tinny. Pair this amp with the Marshall branded vintage 30 speakers and it is fantastic.

Great demo man, love my 4100. I feel like this video truly represents how the amp sounds. Other channels make it sound like it has more gain than it actually has, I don't know how they do it, unless they are boosting it and then saying they are not! SD-1 + Dual Reverb = Win!

I did do a couple of the “Liam’s” mods to this one which takes out the clipping preset EQ. It gives it a slightly more classic sound in my opinion and I also used a jumper cable in the effects loop which I think gives it a slight improvement too. Great amp, very underrated and sure to be a classic!

@@regayers What do you mean by Clipping preset EQ if I may ask?
@regayers Жыл бұрын
@@jamescassidy4045 there’s a bass middle and treble set EQ in these amps before the actual EQ on the front of the amp. You can disconnect it and it sounds slight less “90s” for lack of better term. “Clipping” I accidentally put in by the looks, you can remove the clipping diodes by removing the diode bridge in this one but I think I reversed that back to stock in the end)

higher output pickups will pump more volume into the front of an amp, so that may be what you see a lot.

@@void_snw not really mate, my main pickups are Duncan Distortions XD

I think at the time I had 2x stock GB and 2 x V30. I now have 2x G12H 55hz GB and 2 x V30 for a slightly more modern Sound.

Argh, what is that riff in the beginning?
@regayers Жыл бұрын
Well slightly controversial given the lead singers issues, but it’s Lost Prophets burn burn. One of my favourite drop D riffs from the era.

Yes! Yeah it’s a shame what happened with him, I loved that album when I was younger
