In the late 80s telling somebody JC Penny came to your small town because of you was like the biggest flex somebody could possibly have.

JC Penny, the mall, 7-Eleven, the photomat - they all dug in deep to pay their 10% to the Jasper Improvement Society. Everybody pays - everybody... except for that draft-dodging f@gg@t Red Webster - who those firemen risked their lives to save in that unfortunate fire.

Quite a deep theme of domestic violence or sexual slavery for an otherwise basic, stereotypical popcorn adventure movie. I love the film, but it’s tone throughout was too inconsistent. Action/drama one moment, slapstick comedy the next, then back to action drama/comedy then thriller. This scene is almost from another picture altogether and the subtext, backstory and character development isn’t taken any further. A shame - it would’ve made it a true classic.

I would wager that had Wesley pulled a bag out of his safe filled with $1 mil USD back in 1989, Dalton would have definitely joined his gang. At least as long as Wesley agreed to pay all medical expenses plus at least match the $500 a night in cash that Tillman was paying him at the Double Douche. But of course that would have caused conflict within the ranks - Jimmy would have surely expected to be paid at least the same amount of money that Dalton would be getting. I'm sure Wesley also offered a pension, a month's vacation a year, and an excellent dental plan.
