This is such a good villain for Dalton. This man never really had to work that hard in his life he just took, killed and beat. A cruel man who killed for amusement while Dalton burdened with his. It’s honestly perfect that he would be killed by the towns folk. No one escapes their sins.

Those dubbed-in curses of Patrick Swayze's on the soundtrack in this clip (they aren't in the actual film) make the scene LESS effective, rather than more. It's the very fact that Dalton's enemies can't see or hear him until it's too late that makes the atmospbere so gripping. Also, even though "Road House" isn't a fantasy film, this jungle-predator stealth of Dalton's makes him similar to a superhero -- which is GREAT entertainment.
