@@Pats-Shed Supercool but you really should consider having it drawn up in blueprints and/or sell it as a kit. Ya know, like a rolling chassis and let the buyer decide what power plant to use. For me personally, I’d gladly pay Jim to build me one just like it less the motor. What I like about it the most is that it’s literally a hyper go cart on steroids. Unlike the Cross Karts and the ice racers in the Netherlands and surrounding areas, your version is purpose built for a track setting with a low stance and super quick throttle and steering response. While I’m sure the multi-purpose off road versions are equally a blast to drive, yours is spot on in terms of what it was built to do, nothing more, nothing less, simply a quiet riot on wheels! Btw, is the motor stock other than the pipe??

I have a Yamaha Raptor 350cc , I'm abt to put in a light buggy, I was wonder which sprocket set-up to use.... I'm a go with the 14/60T
@Pats-Shed6 жыл бұрын
IceStone69 . There are a lot of considerations when selecting a sprocket set. The first of which is the type of terrain and suspension setup, consider the diameter of the 60T sprocket versus the clearance available in full suspension compression ? A 60T 530 sprocket is huge. This buggy is a track buggy with little suspension travel , and is geared for 110MPH and achieves with little effort due to the 180Bhp and 350Kg weight. The raptor engine is a very different proposition altogether, it's designed to propel a lightweight machine at much lower speeds . You may find that you can use standard sprockets with 2 chains and a jackshaft in order to find a nice balance between acceleration and overall speed and ground clearance. Best of luck with the project.
@IceStone696 жыл бұрын
psob1 I really can't thank you enough for the feedback. Thanks for the advice I will consider and look into the 2chains / jackshafts Thanks again & keep doin wat you do
