Trying to Defeat the 110% AI at France (F1 22)

I hate how unnaturally the AI exits corners, it makes me feel slow despite the fact that I'll still pass them going into every corner, but then I wonder if I'm divebombing them even when I'm not. The AI is supposed to make one better at the game, but instead it teaches bad habits and is very unrealistic

Yeah I agree a lot of them time too they literally slow down at the apex and somehow magically teleport out of the corner so quickly and I usually play on about 90 AI (no assists) so I can’t imagine how they’d be on 110

They can do 2nd gear full rpm and not have wheelspin which makes me think that they have traction control or something. Im struggling to play on 85+ difficulty rn.

Of all the points you made. They are legit. However if you race LIKE Limitless in T-Cam... All of the unnatural , AI, Dive-bombing, teaching bad Habits point of view is Irrelevant. Because driving in T-Cam is UNREALISTIC and basically cheating. Which makes the challenge or lack of challenge of this racing title Irrelevant lol

I feel like the AI isn’t that much faster in Grand Prix mode in F1 22 compared to F1 2021 but in My Team 110 AI is nuts.

Thats not the AI but the Myteam car itself being really really bad especially when it comes to the straight line speed. Last year's myteam car was actually better in the straight

Mega job there. Especially your out lap. I'm currently at 100 AI on this track and the out laps are my biggest weakness and usually where I end up losing falling to 2nd or 3rd. Your consistency is also very impressive.

Pro Tip: If you're finishing the race with 20% ERS left, it means that you could have pushed the button a little bit more in the last/penultimate lap. (Same goes for a battery reaching 100%) [scnr :P]

That isn't a pro tip because you don't want to be reaching under 10% ERS at any point due to the power loss. Also you would have to calculate and predict exactly how much ERS you need for the rest of the race, taking each overtaking moment into account e.g. predicting the future. It's always better to have slightly extra incase you need more than you think. You can only use a certain amount of deployment, therefore quite often you will need use all of the battery in one lap. Aiming to always finishing on 0 basically leaves no room for error or adjustment.

My thoughts are: you are incredibly quick. I can't even wrap my head around it. I'm always confused by your camber and toe settings, simply because if you are looking at a real life comparison, it doesn't make any sense that you'd be faster with minimum camber and toe. But it's obvious you've mastered this game. You seem to have car control with a setup that shouldn't be giving you any. It's crazy. I'm jealous. I'm also nearly 4 seconds a lap slower than you. Wow.

Hey man, a bit of a random question, but is there much difference between a race and tt setup on this game? Setups in general are a bit of a question mark imo, like inverted wings or not , inverted ride height or not, front suspension and rollbar higher or lower than rear… Can u maybe give us a short update video on the setup - i’ve watched your setup guide vid - bcs its still quite unclear to me 😅. Something people need to consider is ultimately this is a game. It rewards you for driving like it’s a game. If you drive well like you would irl it punishes you. Don’t treat the game as realistic.

Great work as always. Question for yourself and anyone else in this chat, does anyone else think the safety car is bugged? In particular, I have a two player career mode going with my brother, safety car is on ‘increased’, and I’ve seen plenty of AI with various failures and parked up on track, and no virtual or full safety car what so ever. I’ve even crashed myself and I’ve been t-boned on track with my car parked in the middle, and no safety car or anything. I’m convinced it’s bugged as they have been blatent safety car issues

I hate how absolutely worthless soft tires are in this game... The performance advantage over the mediums is almost negligible but they turn into a dumpster fire of understeer after 3 laps, just horrible. Better off with hards and mediums, those give a consistent performance over many laps and don't just fall off a cliff 👍

Softs here they just melt 4 laps at best i could get out of them but yeah the dive bombs the AI do are ridiculous im sure some tweeks will happens but for now im struggling with how much faster they in this years game it like unlimited ERS and run 0 wings on the straights with 50 wings in the corners

About that corner where you felt the Ai accelerate like aliens, well, considering they were on soft while you were on medium, I think pulling just 1 tenth isn't really that much of a deal? And you can actually match them quite well if you use ERS right before going into the next left hander, because the AI were certainly using ERS themselves at that point.

Did anyone else here have to reduce the AI difficulty for their MyTeam? I race on 100 ai all the time in Grand Prix but I’m regularly 5-8 tenths slower than my teammate in qualifying sessions in my team and I just don’t get it. Maybe it’s a bug in the game if so I hope they patch it

I played 2021 last year at 95 AI. When i started playing this game i couldn't complete a 25% race without spinning and even when i didn't spin my pace was at about 80 Ai but after about 25-30 hours on the game i got back to feeling comfortable with the cars and using 95% AI. Also controller and cockpit camera. I think it's really about getting used to the new handling as imo it does feel quite different.

It’s one hundred percent just getting used to the new handling model I was the same way, I was playing 2 player career at 95 on 21 and I was struggling against 80 this year but I got used to it close to the end of the season

@@wukillah I can see the more fun part, but more precise? You really can't see all that much from the cockpit view in my opinion, especially with the new 2022 cars... If I had a VR setup I'd use the cockpit view too, but with a static camera I think I can see more of the road ahead and also the surroundings from the TV Pod Offset view (which is the one I always use). I tried using the cockpit view and after 2-3 races I kinda got used to it, but after switching back to TV Pod Offset I was like a whole second a lap faster suddenly, so yeah, it's not really something for me haha 😄

The AI is cheating or the game is cheating on you making your car slower. Do not even think about running high downforce on tracks like this with decent long straights. They are as you when you use ERS and they dont. Theres an update on the way to fix this.
