Instead of pulling the door apart, could you have just spliced the wires from the new pillar / pad to the old pillar / pad, once you removed the bad one? The connections inside the door were probably OK. Seems like it would have been much faster.

Right that’s what I was thinking I’m doing mines exactly like that come tomorrow when the replacement gets here I was getting upset about taking the door n wires apart when I can just take the panel off disconnect the old one & just connect the new one ti the wiring

Mine is working but is coming off, I currently have it duct taped to my car. What do you recommend I do to keep it on? Or should I just replace?

Will in unplugging it cause any damage

I unplugged mines will be repairing it this summer didn't cause any problems or codes

Cant i just remove the plastic and put new double sided tape? Mine is just xoming off

You mention the plug and play process. What is that? I just installed one of these, but it isnt working.

Make sure u connected it into the adapter correctly or check ur fuse....my fuse for that door panel/liftgate underneath the dashboard had blown out

@@jacquelynharrison408 My panel does not turn on the lights, but if the codes work, could it be a blown fuse? What would the number be?
