Today I stopped by Cole Ford to check on the price of these A-pillar covers. One side bottom piece and top cover are $348.00 plus tax. I also asked about the labor for the dealership to replace. It was estimated 1/2 hour at $80.00. I was told this is the new improved version. So Ford knows how common this is, yet no recall. This is a very common issue with these vehicles along with a few more. On another note, just a heads up. The water pump is inside the engine on these 3.5 engines. Which means no weep hole leaking to see or to know something is wrong. All that will go into your engine. Coolant in your engine oil means Catastrophic damage. Some say changing coolant every once in awhile will help. The pump runs on the cam gearing inside the engine. These are known to fail between 80 and 160,000 miles. So changing it around 90 to 100 is my plan. KZbinr's say $ 2,000.00 is the usual bill for a water pump install in this 2015 Ford Explorer I own. I'm seriously considering selling. Even with used vehicles as high as they are. Putting a water pump inside an engine is very poor engineering. I didn't do my research on this vehicle. Spur of the moment stupidity. Also be aware of the carbon monoxide problem with the body seals and manifold cracking. Folks have crashed due to poisoning. Ford knows all the problems intimately. Yet here we are dealing with them. Recalls for the same problem over and over has been on par also. Rear suspension. Great video!

Yes I must say I am so disappointed in Ford. I used to work for the Ford truck factory and there were many times we told them there was a problem but they did not want to stop the lines because of losing money. I no longer work there Anymore. Raised that way and proud of it. People who spend their hard earned money need to know what they are purchasing. Sometimes we just don't do the research we should. Like myself. Great video! I need pretty much all the weather striping/trim replaced on my explorer. Do you know of any packages I can get to replace it all? It’s all either faded or peeling off. Very frustrating. Texas sun/heat problems.
