j ai rarement entendu des registrations aussi singulieres et limpides,on transcende tous les cliches de l orgue et du language au sens large.Apres Cochereau,tout le monde jouait Cochereau peu ou prou;aujourd hui c est Escaich qui impose son modalisme et sa rythmique a la Bartok;Guillou se suffit a lui meme,comme tous les genies.

Turgid - technique but ignores Liszt's power of speaking to an audience.

It was his style of playing registration he did that also with many other pieces from diffrent composers and time periods and No he didn't interpreted it because that would mean he would have played exactly like Liszt.
