I used to do explainers videos and my director used to ask me to created a 2 seconds animation and then loop it. I always saw it wrong but I couldn`t tell why was that, I knew it was because of the looping, but I couldn`t know why the looping was causing that until now. Thank You sensei

Avoiding repetition and using multiple axis complement each other nicely. It's so much fun to go back to bouncing balls! Anybody else enjoying simpler shots just for the fun of it?

Whoa! These are some great tips!! I was wondering why a part of my current shot felt a bit robotic. After watching the video, I realized it was because I had even timing for two different actions. Thanks, JD. You're awesome!!!!!! xD Big fan of your content :)

I wish I had seen your video earlier ... I'm making a series of short animation videos and I did exactly what you said was wrong ... Sad, sad ... But from now on, I will do it differently! Thanks!

Say you have created a one push up animation , and polished the push up so it loops well. Now you want to extend the animation to be longer, like a little training pass of 10-20 pushups, and the issue of repetition comes into play. Can the one push-up loop be used with animation layers to introduce randomness in the repetition, or is it better to just duplicate the loop 10-20 times, and re-block it? I guess, what I am wondering, is that if you know you're going to have a repetitious movement, how do you plan for the randomness. Is creating an initial loop of the movement a bad or good idea?
@jeandenishaas2 жыл бұрын
I don’t think it’s a bad idea. But one loop with a bit of randomness is still going to look like a cycle/loop. I’d repeat that cycle a few times and add different kinds of randomness so it truly looks random.

If you know what you have to do to make your shot better, don't be lazy, do it. Are you animator or a sloth? Make your choice.
