Liked the video....even though I have only seen 2 of her movies. Looks like it is off to a good start. I have seen #6 The Love Parade....which was a massive hit and #2 San Francisco....which was another massive hit. Voted up and shared on my MacDonald website as well...good job.

Thanks Bruce. I've only seen San Francisco and not because of the musical interludes. She has appeared in a lot of early Technicolor movies which might be worth a look if they turn up in HD.

I highly recommend "Sweethearts ". It's her best movie with Nelson Eddy. The early Technicolor(along with Adrian's designs)were gorgeous. Dorothy Parker co-wrote the script which gave both the chance to be funny.

I have seen only 6 of MacDonald's movies, all near the top. However, I've seen all of her titles with Chevalier. My favourites are Rose Marie and San Francisco. Wonderful posters and stills.

Hi Flora, have to confess I've only seen one of her films, you guessed it - San Francisco. Nearly half of her movie output was with either Nelson Eddy or Maurice Chevalier. Thanks for commenting, always appreciated.

This must be a joke. Jeanette and Nelson Eddy broke box office records with most of their films-together and separately. Who are these people who evaluated everything --they certainly weren't true fans of J&N!
