@Pro Justice no no,TARGET demographic. So like her content isn’t tailored to specifically appeal to people like me. It IS suitable for everyone, including me, but her target audience is people like her. And @Kekkai why? Why you gotta be like that? Stop being dumb on KZbin or at least don’t be dumb on my comments.

This was hilarious and I only watched because of the title. I was born a "Hussey"- it's my maiden name and as I got older and learned the meaning I used to make a joke about it when I would meet people before they made fun of me - it worked!. I have no complaints because I had to learn at an early age not to take myself too seriously which is an important lesson.

Funny, most southerners I know here in North Florida say "Peh-KAHN", while some northern transplants I know down here say "Pee-can." I've lived here my whole live, raised by a country mom and a city dad, and always heard it the first way, not pee-can. My dad's side of the family is Greek from New Orleans, and they also say it "Peh-KAHN". Mom's side is from out in the country, and they also say it that way. Sounds like where you are in NC is the opposite. I guess it's not a northern/southern thing, just a thing. :)

2 years later there are 210. Seeing this comment reminds me of something I read the other day about why some people choose thumbs down. They said that by clicking thumbs down they can keep up with what video they have watched or have not watched. They hit thumbs down if they don't have time to watch it. The next time they run across that video the thumbs down tells them they haven't watched it yet. (I, myself just click on save. lol )

Wow, imagine that, clean humor. But I fell off the roof into the hedges when I did that 45 years ago. My parents took one look at me, all tore to hell from that stinking holly bush, looked at each other and chuckled and said he punished himself. Then my momma told me to go clean up and stop bleeding on the carpet. As an after thought she told me to use an old sheet in bed, the blood would be hard to get out of a good one.

Love your stories & the special "left brain" ones are my favorite. I was married once & I think it was to a left brain & I'm a right brain!
@elwoodblues9613

The trick is to see where your Left Brain has strengths that you are a little weak in, and then work together as a team using both of your strengths to get through life and make the marriage work. Instead of insisting that Left Brains are clueless and need to become Right Brained, and punishing Left Brain for being who God made him to be. (Can you tell that I'm a Left Brain [currently] married to a Right Brain?)

Once upon a time my son was very late for curfew. I went to sleep in his bed and didn't hear him try to sneak in the bedroom window. He closed the window quietly and went to a friend's. Early the next morning he came in, told me he spent the night with a friend, but didn't want to call and wake me up. Years later he confessed.

This is perhaps my favorite of her stories. But her trip on the Colorado and bungie jumping naked are close seconds. Great speaker. Miss her humor. You laughed because she was so funny, not because you were embarrassed by what she said.

I am so thankful I found YOU on you tube. As a 70 year old mother of 2, your stories ( especially about Beaver) make me " hoot" and bring back fond memories of my 2 as teenagers. Thank you so much for the common sense and laughter. Dense Harper, Jackson, N.C.

My first "Jeanne Robertson" tapes in the earlier 80s was just a riot! About being tall.... some of you tall young women would now have an arsenal of 'come backs' like Jeanne! She told the story about when she was on a flight (she was already seated) where a man sat down by her. She goes on to tell how much she enjoyed his company. As the jet parked to let people deplane, the guy stood up waiting for his turn to single file out, he turned to see that Jeanne was now standing.... to his dismay of sorts he looked her up and down as he said "wow, you are really tall" to which Jeanne answered "I wasn't like this when I sat down"! I can recall a few other stories she told us but I want you all to enjoy your searching so you can laugh, giggle and say "I can relate to that".
