This was hilarious and I only watched because of the title. I was born a "Hussey"- it's my maiden name and as I got older and learned the meaning I used to make a joke about it when I would meet people before they made fun of me - it worked!. I have no complaints because I had to learn at an early age not to take myself too seriously which is an important lesson.

Funny, most southerners I know here in North Florida say "Peh-KAHN", while some northern transplants I know down here say "Pee-can." I've lived here my whole live, raised by a country mom and a city dad, and always heard it the first way, not pee-can. My dad's side of the family is Greek from New Orleans, and they also say it "Peh-KAHN". Mom's side is from out in the country, and they also say it that way. Sounds like where you are in NC is the opposite. I guess it's not a northern/southern thing, just a thing. :)

They said that by clicking thumbs down they can keep up with what video they have watched or have not watched. They hit thumbs down if they don't have time to watch it. The next time they run across that video the thumbs down tells them they haven't watched it yet. (I, myself just click on save. lol )

Wow, imagine that, clean humor. But I fell off the roof into the hedges when I did that 45 years ago. My parents took one look at me, all tore to hell from that stinking holly bush, looked at each other and chuckled and said he punished himself. Then my momma told me to go clean up and stop bleeding on the carpet. As an after thought she told me to use an old sheet in bed, the blood would be hard to get out of a good one.

Jeanne actually gives speeches on how to maintain one's sense of humor, how to cope with stressful situations in life, etc. She considers herself more of a motivational speaker and humorist since she doesn't do just stand up comedy. She sure could make a living at it though, if she did! :D

My first "Jeanne Robertson" tapes in the earlier 80s was just a riot! About being tall.... some of you tall young women would now have an arsenal of 'come backs' like Jeanne! She told the story about when she was on a flight (she was already seated) where a man sat down by her. She goes on to tell how much she enjoyed his company. As the jet parked to let people deplane, the guy stood up waiting for his turn to single file out, he turned to see that Jeanne was now standing.... to his dismay of sorts he looked her up and down as he said "wow, you are really tall" to which Jeanne answered "I wasn't like this when I sat down"! I can recall a few other stories she told us but I want you all to enjoy your searching so you can laugh, giggle and say "I can relate to that".
